against "everyone who isn't" for
what they called an infringement
upon their personal space.
“I don't mind the adoration,"
said one famous person. "It’s just
that when people call out my name,
I don't know whether it’s one of my
friends or a complete nobody."
A dangerous trend has ben grow-
ing lately as few famous people
respond when spoken to. Los
Angeles talent agent Gino Espirinzi
explained the new difficulty in com-
munication.

Honor Roll Students
"You thought they were difficult
to talk to before? Now it’s a night-
mare!”
Experts believe the trial will be a
lengthy one, explaining that every-
one except famous people are on
trial.
"That should definitely take a
while," one expert said.
THE MATHATHON . ..
Students from East Elementary raised money for St. Jude's
Children's Hospital's cancer research by taking pledges for com-
pleted math problems. The school raised $654.00. Christina
Gonzales (Back Left) and Nobi Bustamante (Back Right) each raised
$100.00, while Daniel Dominguez raised $75.00 (Shane Graber

The ideal
postemergence herbicide should:
• provide excellent control of'
annual and perennial grass
species
• allow growers to create their
own weed control program
with tankmix flexibility
• be rainfast within hours
• work in any and all tillage
programs.
FUSION* herbicide has
become one of the most popular
postemergence treatments for con-
trolling bermudagrass, barnyard-
grass and johnsongrass in soybeans,
as well as 28 other grass species. In
fact. Fusion recendy received
Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) label approval for use on
cotton allowing a 10- to 12-ounce
rate on johnsongrass 8 to 18 inch-
es tall. Now, bom cotton and soy-
bean growers can reap the benefits
of Fusion.
Fusion is a foliar-applied sys-
temic herbicide. It works well in all
tillage systems, yet is gentle on your
soybeans and cotton.The flexibility
of Fusion allows growers to tank
mix the product at a variety of
rates with more herbicides than
any other competitor in its class.
Always follow label instructions
and apply Fusion by air or ground
to actively growing grass when the
first species reaches me recom-
mended height. An adjuvant
should be added to the tankmix
to help increase herbicide contact

The bill by Sen. David Sibley, R-
Waco, is central to a package of bills
to stop the drain on school coffers
by business recruiting incentives.
The Senate also approved a bill to
strengthen requirements for local
government reporting on abate-
ments. A bill [lending in the Senate
Economic Development Committee
would permit school tax abatements
after taxes are paid on the first J1
billion in new investment or $500
million in improvements.
AT ay is Electrical Safety Month, and we invite you to
1V1 mark your calendar for this special observance.
Start with a tour of your home to check out some of the
basics for using electricity as safely as possible.
■ Plug in portable appliances only when you intend
to use them. Disconnect them and store them away
when not in use.
■ Make sure there’s proper ventilation around TVs and
VCRs; restricted air flow can cause them to overheat.
■ Use a fire extinguisher or common baking soda if an
electrical fire occurs.
■ Use extension cords and appliances that have a seal
of approval from a major testing laboratory, such as
Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
There’s much more you can do, of course, and well be
happy to advise you. Simply contact us. Well help you
with a checklist you can use every day of every month.
