finished their season last
Tuesday night with an 8 to 6
loss to Anna. The boys on
the year finished with a 5 won
2 lost record, with both losses
coming at the hands of Anna
Their wins were over G’unte1"
twice, S&S, Prosper and Anna
This is the best record that
a Junior High team in Howe
has ever compiled. We are-
all looking forward to seeing
these boys on the high school
team.
HOWE - FANNINDEL
The Howe High Girls’ Bas-
ketball team traveled to Fan-
nendel Tuesday night to play
their first game of the season.
The Howe girls came out
second on both the “A” and
"B” team games.
The “A” team lost 53 to 26.
High scorers for Howe were
Betty Callaway and Sharon
Bolden with seven each. Kar-
en Gleaves was next with six
points. High for Fannindei
Were Betty Clements with 18
Mischa Mills, IT; and Nancy
Clements, 16.
The “B” team score was
57 to 28. High for Howe was
Betty Sue Scott with 14
points. Sylvia Jones was
high with 29 points for Fan-
nindel.

Howe Junior High girls
traveled to Bells Tuesday af-
ternoon for a 22 to 14 win.
High scorer for Howe was
Gay Coope(r with 14 points.

Lynn Scroggin was married
to James Scott Roberts in a
double ring ceremony Friday
evening in the home of the
bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joe D. Scroggin, Collinsville,
Mr. Roberts is the son of Mr
and Mrs. Jim Roberts of
Howe.
Valen Graham of Gunter,
minister of the Ethel Church
of Christ officiated for the
ceremony.
The couple was attended
by Mrs. Wayne Kyle of Col-
linsville and Mr. Mel Anders
of Denton.
Mrs. Roberts attended Col-
linsville High School and
Wayland College in PlainvieW
'She is now coaching girls'
basketball in the Mineral
Wells High School.
Mr. Roberts attended Sher-
man High School and North
Texas State University. He
is employed with the Sherman
Post Office.
