ing a bazaar on November
third and fourth. The bazaar
will be held in the former
church parsonage building
n ext to theTifst United Me-
thodist Church. Assorted
handcrafted items which have
been made by the church
women will be sold. The
hours for the bazaar are Fri-
day from one to six and Satur-
day morning from eight until
sold out.

Training Union group sponsor-
ed by/their teachers, Mrs. Me
Guffee and Mr. and Mrs. Knox
Cook, at their home, Monday
night. Forty-four were present.

joined in the fun.
First Baptist
YOUTH WEEK
November 6-12 will be You-
th week. There will be several
activities during the week, led
by the youth and young adults.
TEACHER TRAINING COURSE
Beginning this Sunday Night
at 6 p.m. a teacher training
course will be taught by Glen
Mitchell, meeting in the Bagby
Class Room. This will be for
teachers from the 3rd. grade
up. This is for prospective tea-
chers as well as those now serv-
ing.
JUNIOR HIGHACTEENS
The Junior High Acteens will
attend a meeting in Waco, on
November 11. A car is needed
to take the girls. If you could
take a car, contact Vickey
Finney or Francine Hickox.

On Election Day, Nov. 7,
there will be a nursery provided
from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. in the
same building as the polls. The
Baptist Young Women are spon-
soring it and urge everyone to
get out and vote.

THINGS TO COME
CHURCH VISITATION will
begin from 7-8 each (1) first
Thirsday of each month.
Those who will visit in behalf
of the church and Christ meet
with the group. Fellowship
in the fellowship hall will be
after the visitation.
An afterglow is being plan-
ned for the (3) third Sunday
of each month. It will take
place at the home of those
who express a desire to have
it.
The first afterglow will be
at the Jimmy Suttons on the
19th of November . All per-
sons are welcome to come.
We will talk, sing, have just
good fellowship.
At this time we are plannin
our Christmas program for the
week of December 17th. We
will be needing a lot of help
from many.
Administrative Board will
meet immediately after the
morning worship Sunday. Ap-
proval for the new church
budget is needed.
We have a need for a churc.
nursery worker on Sunday mor
ning durin g the morning -wor-
ship service to care for our
bed babies. If you would like
to do this work please contact
Bro. Johnny at 532-6123.
Thanksgiving Special Ser-
vices are being planned for
November 20-21-22-23.
There will be a eleven o'cl-
ock service on Thanksgiving
Day. Make your plans now to
be a part of this day.

Men's prayer breakfast- Mon-
day 6:00 A.M.
A gracious Woman study-Wed
nesday 10- 11 conducted by
Mrs. Marie Cannaday.
The Youth Choir will meet at
3:30 each afternoon. Bible
study will be at 7:30.
Thursday--All church visita-
tion with fellowship after in
the fellowship hall.

Cake Mix
3/4 C. Wesson Oil
1/2 c. su^ar
It/ Vanilla
4 eggs ( add one at a time—
beat well)
1/2 pint sout cream
1 c. chopped pecans.
Mix all ingredients, pour
half of mixture into a greased
and floured tube pan. Sprinkl
with 3 T. Brown sugar mixed
with 1 t. cinnamon, pour
rest of batter in and bake at
325 degrees for 1 hour. Let
cool for at least 30 minutes
before removing from pan.
