In Savoy Church Ceremony Friday Night

read the nuptial vows for the
double ring ceremony uniting
Miss Deborah Kay Price,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Da-
vid R. Price, and Charles Wes-
ley Casada, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Johnny W. Casada, all of Sa-
voy, Friday night in the First
Baptist Church.
Mrs. Marie Strickland played
traditional wedding music, and
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Lee Thomas, sister and brother-
in-law of the bride, as they
sang ‘‘The Wedding Prayer.”
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor
length gown of antique white
silk brocade with bishop sleeves
and a sweeping chapel-length
train. Her shoulder length veil
of illusion was attached to a
brocade Dior Bow. The only
jewelry she wore was a pair of
earrings, a gift of the bride-
! groom. She wore a garter, worn
by her grandmother, Mrs. J. W.
Price, over 60 years ago at her
wedding, and carried a white
Bible topped with white chrys-
anthemums centered with a
pale yellow orchid.
Miss Pamela Price was her
sister’s maid of honor. She was
attired in a floor length gown of
yellow with a lace bodice fea-
turing bishop sleeves and an
empire skirt of yellow sorreno
accented with a satin ribbon

a yellow Dior bow with a short
veil and carried a yellow chrys-
anthemum nosegay.
Jim Jarvis, brother - in - law
of the bridegroom of Denison,
served as best man. Ushers
were David A. Price, brother
of the bride of Savoy and Ron-
nie Davis, cousin of the bride-
groom of Howe.
The bride’s mother wore a
rose pink silk dress. A peach
crepe knit dress was worn by
the bridegroom’s mother. Both
wore orchid corsages.
Hosts fo ra reception held fol-
lowing the ceremony were the
parents of the bride. Her table
was laid with a white lace cloth
over yellow, and held a three-
tiered wedding cake topped with
two yellow satin bells. The
punch was served from a cry-
stal punch bowl.
Reception assistants were
Miss Jeanette Jones, aunt of
the bride, and Mrs. Brenda Ryoni
of Dallas, Mrs. Carole Jarvis ofj
Denison, sister of the bride-;
groom, and Mrs. Becky Thom-
as of El Paso, sister of the
j bride.
| Mr. and Mrs. Casada are both
graduates of Savoy High School.
Mrs. Casada is an inventory
clerk at Pool Manufacturing Co.
in Sherman, and Mr. Casada is
a senior student at Texas A&M
University. They _ will make
their home in College Station.
For traveling, the bride
chose a yellow crepe long sleeve
dress with a plaid sleeveless
coat and white accessories. She
wore the orchid from her bridal
bouquet.
The parents of the bridegroom'
were hosts for a rehearsal din-
ner at their home Thursday
night.
His grandmother is Mrs.
Ethel Tolbert of Howe.
