ORDINANCE NO. 281
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A GENERAL PENAL-
TY FOR VIOLATION OF ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Corn
cil of the City of Howe, Grayson County, Texas, that there
is a need to provide for the designation of a general penalty
for violations of ordinances o f the City of Howe, Grayson
County, Texas, which do not contain specific penalties and
whereas the City of Howe is desirous of implementing such
need forthwith;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOWE, GRAYSON COUNTY,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after the date of the passage
of this ordinance whenever in any ordinance of the City of
Howe, Texas, an act is prohibited or is made or declared
to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever
in any such ordinance the doing of any act is required or the
failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, and no
specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any
such provision of any such ordinance shall be punished by a
fine of not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars; pro-
vided however, that no penalty shall be greater or less than
the penalty provided for the same or a similar offense under
the laws of the state. Each day any violation of any such
ordinance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 2. The City Council finds as a fact that an
emergency exists and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon it s passage and approval.
Adopted by a vote of the City Council of the City of
Howe, Grayson County, Texas, this 14 day of June, 1973.

ORDINANCE NO. 280
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION
OF CERTAIN AREAS FOR THE PARKING OF MOBILE
HOMES WITHIN THE CITY OF HOWE.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Howe, Grayson County, Texas, that
there is a need to provide for the designation of certain
areas for the parking of Mobile Homes within the City of
Howe, Grayson County, Texas, including the need to pro-
vide an established method of determining such designated
areas and whereas the City of Howe is desirous of implement
ing such need forthwith; '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HCW E, GRAYSON COUNTY,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after the date of the passage
of this ordinance there shall exist a committee comprised
of no less than three members which shall have the exclu-
sive right and duty to designate certain areas within the
City of Howe, which may be used as parking places for
Mobile Homes.
SECTION 2. Any committee so selected shall be appoint
ed by a majority vote of the City Council of the City of
Howe, and any committee so appointed shall serve an inde-
finite term and such appointment shall be terminated only
by majority vote of the City Council of the City of Howe.
In the event no such committee is otherwise selected by the
City Council of the City of Howe, the said City Council
itself shall serve as a committee for such purpose as afore-
said.
SECTION 3. Any such committee so appointed or the
City Council in the event no such committee is appointed,
shall designate clearly all such areas where the parking of
Mobile Homes shall be permitted within the City of Howe
upon a plat or map which shall be available to the public
in the Municipal Building of the City of Howe at all reason-
able hours.
SECTION 4. As used herein the term "Mobile Homes"
shall also include the term "Trailer Houses", and all like
structures. The term "Parking" as used herein shall mean
permanent or semi-permanent parking; however, "Parking"
shall be presumed after a Mobile Home has remained in an
unpermitted area for more than 48 hours.
SECTION 5. The City Council finds as a fact that an
emergency exists and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
Adopted by a vote of the City Council of the City of
Howe, Grayson Cbunty, Texas, this 14 day of June, 1973.
