Zahimiafy- Lynch
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zahirniak of West are pleased to announce
the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter.
Renee Lynn, to Choice Lee Lynch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip
McNeel of Farmersville and Mr. Michael Lynch of Irving.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West High School and McLennan
Community College. She is currently employed as a nurse at
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Plano.
The prospective groom is a graduate of West High School. He is
currently employed as a project manager at Protech-Inrecon in
Dallas.
The wedding will take place at 1:30 p.m., April 21, 2001, at St.
Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West.
Two West students inducted
into TVCC Phi Theta Kappa
The Trinity Valley Commu-
nity college chapter of Phi Theta
Kappa welcomed one of its larg-
est classes of inductees ever on
February 20 with 67 new mem-
bers joining on TVCC's Athens
campus.
The chapter, known as Iota
Alpha, is a part of Phi Theta
Kappa International, an honor-
ary society for community col-
lege students designed to pro-
mote fellowship and academic
Teen leaders...
West High School junior Justin Mechell and sophomore Rachel Waddell are
among 32 teens from 13 high schools to be select for participation in Teen
Leadership Waco. The program is designed to identify qualified high school
students interested in preparing themselves to become future leaders in their
communities. They will take part in team building and leadership skill
development, as well as undergo extensive training on topics such as the
economy, government, education, law enforcement, judicial system, health
care, media, culture and community. Justin is the son of Terry and Julie Mechell
and Rachel's parents are Gregg and Carol Waddell.
Ag Boosters schedule raffle
Thu West Area Ag Boosters are currently selling raffle tickets to give
away a 16 ft. utility trailer, $500 travel gift certificate from Sandy's
Getaway Travel, 10 ft. by 5 ft. utility trailer and a $200 gift
certificate. Winners are to be announced on.April 19. For ticket
