Rebekah Soukup has first birthday
Rebekah Soukup, daughter of
Alvin and Dorene Soukup, celebrated
her first birthday on February 10
with a party at her home. Her real
birthday is on February 6.
An evening meal of roast, sau-
sage and all of the trimmings was
served to approximately 25 guests.
Dessert included a 'Teddy Bear with
Balloons" birthday cake, made by
Rebekah's mother.
After the meal, everyone enjoyed
watching the birthday girl open her
gifts. Following that, all the children
played games and everyone had a
nice time.
Rebekah's brother and sister are
Andy and Elizabeth. Her grandpar-
ents are John and Carrie Tobola of
West and Joe F. and Evelyn Soukup
of Abbott.
We would like to thank everyone
for helping make this birthday so
special and for all of the wonderful
gifts.

^ Horseshoe Tournament All Day (iwC 22)
Fishing and outdoor activities remained strong for the greater Whit-
ney and Aquilla Lakes areas over the last week. Many people came just
to camp and enjoy the lake shore and the many aminities that it offers. The
many public parks and private campgrounds are not crowded this time of
year and they offer the outdoor enthusiast an opportunity to "get away
from it all" and enjoy some peace and solitude before the summer crowd
arrives. Bank fishing was pretty good too and many fishermen found that
they could catch almost as many fish from the bank as their counterparts
could from their boats. . cookies were served to all the resi-
