tended the Seott-Willis wedding

Monday for Burkburnette, Tex-
as where he has accepted em-
ployment with the Owens-
Brumley Funeral Home. The
1967 West High School graduate
attended Texas College of Mor-
tuary Science in Dallas and was
also employed at Kotch Funer-
al Home for over a year.

attended a Lincoln-Mercury di-
vision showing of the 1970
model cars at the Fairmont
Hotel in Dallas on Sept. 4. Mr.
Cervenka is a salesman at Mar-
stailer Motors in Waco.
Stephen Dujka, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Milan Dujka of Ross,
left for Houston Sunday, where
he will be entering the Univer-
sity of Houston.

Richard Urbis, age 16, former-
ly of West, now residing in
Robstown, recently won first
place in the SPJST State Talent
Contest held at Taylor. He won
with a piano selection. Several
months ago he won first place
in the District 5 competition at
Houston in the 12 to 15 year old
class. Richard is a member of
SPJST Lodge 117 in Robstown.

and Mrs. Edward Klinkovsky,
611 W. Elm St., West, returned
to M.D. Anderson Hospital in
Houston Wednesday and is
scheduled to undergo major
surgery Friday, Sept. 12.

Miss Ollie Lee Hall, suffred a
heart attack Sunday and is un-
dergoing medical treatment in
a Houston hospital. Miss Hall
left for Houston Wednesday for
a visit with her sister and
brother-in-law.

Albin Matus, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. Albin Matus Sr., of
Bellmead, returned home Sun-
day, Aug. 31, after a 13-month
tour of duty with the U.S. Air
Force in the Philippines. He
will be home for 30 days and
then leave for a year’s tour of
duty in Vietnam.
