night.
Mrs. John Madcek was a

George Kacir, Mrs. E J. Jerabei;
and Mrs. Joe Vitek.
Mrs. Mashek served Blueberry
cheese cake, ice cream, coke an.t

Wedding In Abbott Unites
Miss Gerik, Ernest Janek
The Immaculate Heart of
Mary Catholic Church in Abbott
was the setting for the nuptial
mass uniting Miss Deborah Kay
Gerik and Ernest Henry Janek
Saturday afternoon.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs, Jerry C. Gerik of
Aquilla and Mr. and Mrs. Roland
H. Janek of West.
The bride wore her mother’s
wedding dress of traditional
white slipper satin. It was de-
signed with a high neckline,
long sleeves and a peplum
which extended Into a long
train.
Her headpiece was a white
lace, waist length mantilla. She
carried a nosegay of white rose
buds centered with an orchid.
Miss Barbara Mikulencak of
Elgin was the maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were the
I bride’s cousins, Miss Rosanne
Trice of Waco and Miss Irene

Kathy Glasser of Orange. The
groom's sister, Miss Cheryl Jan-
ek of West, was the junior
bridesmaid.
The attendants wore maize
formal A-line gowns with em-
pire waists, Victorian slepves
with Val lace ruffles and a
Watteau back. Their headpieces
were yellow bows and they car-
ried nosegays of bronze chry-
santhemum pompons.
Dennis Gerik of Aquilla, the
bride's brother, was best man.
The groomsmen were Fred Bar-
ton; Joe Lednicky and John
Sula, all of West, and Jerry and
Ronald Gerik of Aquilla, broth-
ers of the bride.
The altar boys were the
bride's brothers, James and
Timothy Gerik and Harry Sva-
cik and Ray Clatter, the
groom's cousins.
Thd witnesses were the bride’s
uncle, Edwin Gerik and Johnny
Glatter, the groom’s uncle. Ber-
nard Pustejovsky of Dallas;
Mike Pustejovsky of Abbott;
Emil Pustejovsky, Jr., of Abbott,
and Edward Muehlstein of
Hillsboro, the bride's uncle ush-
ered.
Rev. W. Pechal officiated and
Miss Linda Pustejovsky of Hills-
boro was organist. John Boyd of
Fort Worth was soloist.
The couple's parents were re-
ception hosts in the Parish Hall.
Members of the house party
were Mrs. Ronald Janek: Mrs.
Ronnie Pekar, Miss Linda Pus-
tejovsky and Miss Loretta Gerik.
The couple's parents were al-
so hosts for a dinner at St. Jo-
seph Hall in West.
The bride graduated from
Aquilla High School and at-
tended Hill Junior College. She
Is a junior secondary education
major at the University of Dal-
las.
The groom graduated from
West High School and Hill Jun-
ior College. He is a senior at
Texas A&M University major-
ing in marketing.
After a short wedding trip,
Mr. and Mrs. Janek will live in
Bryan.

Reunion Field
The annual Vrba family re-
union was held Sunday in the
Cameron Park Club House in
Waco. A family style dinner
was served.
Those attending were the
sons, daughters, and grandchil-
dren of the late Anton and
Rosalie Vrba. They were Mrs.
Della Burt and Cynthia, Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Vrba and fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs. August Vrba
and family. Mr. and Mrs. Albin
Dvoracek and son. Mr. and Mrs.
Asa Gamble and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Gus Snokhous and |
family, Mr4 Helen Newman,
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Vrba of

Miss Pavlicek, Mr. Warren
Wed In Catholic Ceremony
Miss Dorothy Marie Pavlicek
and William Lester Warren were
wed Saturday afternoon in St.
Mary’s Catholic Church of As-
sumption in West.
The newlyweds’ parents are
Mr. and Mrs. James J. Pavlicek
of West and Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam A. Warren of Clinton, N.C.
The bride wore a gown of
candlelight silk organza over
peau satin. It was designed with
a sabrina neckline accented
with pearls and sequins. Her silk
bouffant swirt had scalloped
lace ruffles in the front accent-
ed with miniature pearls and
sequins.
A chapel train of silk organza
with lace tiers was held with
tiny silk organ* bows on the
shoulders. A coif of Alencon
lace covered with sequins and
pearls held her shoulder length
veil of silk Illusion. She carried
a cascade of Frenched carna-
tions and a lily of the valley
centered with a white orchid
and streamers with love knots.
Mrs. Frances Evans of Hous-
ton was her cousin’s matron of
honor. Miss Marcella Dudik of
Penelope was her cousin’s maid
of honor.
The bridesmaids were the
bride’s sister, Miss Margaret
Pavlicek of West; the bride’s
cousin, Miss Diane Pavlicek of
West; Miss Virginia Bazant of
West; Miss Rose Ann Snider of
Tours and Miss Diane Burman
of West.

The attendants wore blue
and mira-mist bodices and
trains. The empire waists were
accented with blue daisies.
They carried nosegays of pink
frenched carnations. Their
headpieces were blue bows cov-
ered with blue tulle. Mrs. E. J.
Seith, the bride’s aunt, designed
and made the attendants’
dresses.
Gary Evans of Houston was
best man. The groomsmen were
Gregory Pavlicek. Joey Jaska,
Richard Seith. Jimmy Mach
and Eddie Chudej, all cousins of
the bride, and Lynn Burman.
Richard Seith of West was
ring bearer. James Pavlicek, Jr.,
the bride’s brother and Eddie
Pavlicek, the bride's cousin, ush-
ered.
The witnesses were Harry Sy-
kora of Waco and Jerry May-
nard of West.
Rev. Oliver Johnson officiat-
ed. Mrs. Jerry Kucera was or-
ganist and the soloists were Mrs.
Henry Kolar, Mrs. Ervin Lau-
bert and Miss Tracy Dvoracek.
The bride’s parents were re-
ception mosts at Linden Hall in
Elm Mott. Miss Katherine Pav-
licek, Miss Jo Ann Hynek and
Miss Anita Hynek were in the
house party. The Vrazels pro-
vided music for the dance.
Tiie bride is a clerk-typist for
American-Amicable Life In-
surance Co. The groom is a
sergeant in the U.S. Army sta-
tioned at Ft. Meade, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren will
honeymoon in North Carolina.
