As we moved from town to town you couldn't ignore the fact the
new school wasnt on the ashes of the old one. They have been
relocatedto the edge of town so they might continue to grow as
needed. West is a classic example of growth within a city. West now
needs a benefactor who will donate the land and let the district name
Before we progress further it would do us weil to examine our
school district in geographic sense. It seems within reason that
youngsters should live closer to their school than to another. I would
hope these boundaries might be looked at and redrawn if need be to
place children closer rather than farther from their school. I know
this will cause hackles to rise and certainly a compromise or two
might be needed to allow a few students tofinish at West. I would like
to see these new numbers. It may be West is ahead of the projections
and need not do anything drastic at all. May you all enjoy a truly
rewarding holiday season. I will take chemotherapy on the 27th and
then another scan to see what my big present might be.
