and will resume classes in the

summer weight peau do soie
accented with a lace appliqued
bodice, and long buttoned
sleeves. The train was trimmed
in reembroidered lace. The veil
of white silk illusion was
crowned with a soft headdress of
silk organza rosettes. Her bou-
quet was of white carnations
and English ivy. Bridesmaids
were attired in pink sheath
floor length gowns.
After a wedding trip to Flor-

Dvorak is an employee of Bell

Jerry Allen, Stevie Kaska, and

Sunday, Sept. 1 at 11:30.
The witnesses were the bride’s
sister. Mrs. Zatopek of Temple,
and the groom’s sister, Mrs.
Bertha S.vkora. Those attending
the wedding were the imme-
diate family and close friends.

Miss Pam Tyncs and Mr.
Kenneth Hahn of Midway,
honored Mr. Craig Hester and
his bridc-to-bc. Miss Jeannie
Will, with a patio party and
miscellaneous shower at the
home of Mr. Hahn.
A buffet supper was served.
Tlie main table was decorated
with a centerpiece fashioned of
two hearts, entwined with gold
lettering, Jeannie and Craig. A
cluster of red roses was placed
at the base of the hearts. There
* were five smaller tables each
having a red candle center-
piece.

A supper and tea shower
honoring Craig Hester and Miss
Witt was given in Belton, Mon-
day. Sept. 1, by Mr. Hester's
grandmother. Mrs. Wheeler, and
friends. Punch and coffee were
served.

Reunion lick!
Tlie Abbutt High School Class
of 1953 held their 10 year class
reunion Saturday in Hillsboro |
and at tlie Red Carpet Room of
the Tradewinds in Waco.
Mrs. Betty Willis of Waco, one |
of the class members, said that
people in this class attended
.school together from the early
elementary grades through high i
school and she feels that this
is oue of the closest classes ever
to graduate.

from California, Connecticut, j
Missouri and all points in Tex-

Tlie day’s events started with
an informal get-together at the
Hillsboro City Park where all
of the classmates compared
their offspring.
One of the interesting facts
about the reunion, Mrs. Willis
said, was that out of a class of
25 there were 35 children.
Letters were sent to all cx-
tcachers and many attended as
expected.
The festivities switched from
the park at 4 p.m. and were
carried to Waco where a ban-
quet was held. Entertainment
for the banquet was provided
by class members and Russell
Berry acting as master of cere-
monies. Entertainment included
performances by "The Treys,"
a singing group which was ori-
ginally organized in high school,
Jerry Fincher playing the guitar
and JoAnn Belcte Shaver per-
formed a special surprise act.

Nichols spent the Labor Day
weekend in Richardson with Mr.
and Mrs. G. W. Nichols and
family, and all attended a fam-

Joseph's Hall after the cere-

groom graduated from Richfield
High School, attended Texas
Technological College in Lub-
bock and tliis summer went to

Mr. and Mrs. South went to
the Hemis Fair in San Antonio
and will motor along the Gulf
Coast to New Orleans, La. They
will live in Houston where the
bridegroom will enter his jun-
ior year at the University of
Texas.

The bride's mother made her
A-line floor length gown of peau
dc soie featuring a stand-up
collar and front full length in-
set of alencon lace beaded in
seed pearls. The pearled lace
bordered cuffs of long sleeves
and accented a peau crushes
bow headpiece that held a full
length illusion veil. Slic car-
ried a bouquet of white orchids,
stephanotis . and lilies of the
valley and for sentiment wore
a rosary given to her by her
grandmother.

' sister’s maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Miss Kathleen Matus
