Gina and Randy Shafer of Waco are the proud parents of a baby girl,
Theresa Caye, born at 2:38 p.m. May 19, 1988 at Hillcrest Baptist
Medical Center in Waco.
She weighed seven pounds and four ounces.
Grandparents are Don and Lucy Finn of Robinson.
Great-grandparents are Raymond and Adeline Finn of Bellmead.
Theresa Caye was welcomed home by her brother 2Vt year old,
Brian.
Kristina Marie Marotta
Mark and Karen Marotta of Mesquite are the proud parents of a baby
girl, Kristina Marie, born May 16, 1988 at Presbyterian Hospital in
Dallas
She weighed eight pounds three ounces and was 20 inches long.
Her grandparents are the late Bernard J. Petter and Helen (Petter)
Vrba and Frank and Pat Marotta, all of Dallas.
Great-grandparents are Mrs. Mary Nors and Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Petter,
all of West.

engagement of their daughter, Paula Marlene Barton to Louis E. (Casey)
Simpson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene A. Simpson of Waxahachie.
They plan an August 20 wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the
Assumption.

Exchange Vows in Dallas
Donna Marie Trojan and Richard
Gene Krai were wed at 2 p.m. May 21,
1988 at St, Cecilia's Catholic Church
in Dallas. Father Ramon Alvarez of
Holy Spirit in Duncanville and Pastor
John Jacobs of Austin performed the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Trojan of Irving. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A1
Krai of Dallas.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a designer bridal gown
of white satin with a wedding ring
collar. The bodice of the gown has
illusion and satin accented with alen-
con lace, petals and mother of pearl
sequins. The gown has bishop sleeves
which come down to a point on the
wrist. The gown drops from a basque
waistline to a flowing skirt of satin
accented with alencon lace, pearls
and sequins. The cathedral train fell
from a bow in the back. The cathedral
train had alencon lace motifs accented
with pearls and mother of pearl se-
quins.
A juliet cap with accents of pearls
and sequins held a silk illusion veil
with flowers and pearls placed peri-
odically within the veil. She carried a
traditional cascade of white roses,
baby carnations, steffanotis, and eng-
lish ivy with accents of pearls through
out the cascade.
For something old she carried her
mother's rosary. For something new
she wore her wedding dress. For
something borrowed she used her
mother's handkerchief and for some-
thing blue she wore the traditional
blue garter.
The groom wore a white tuxedo
with white accessories and white
shoes and a white carnation with
purple accent within the boutonniere.
The bride's maid of honor was
Mary White of Irving. Her brides-
maids were: Karen Knaubcr of Irving,
Dottie McBride of Arlington, Cheryl
Woodham of Batch Springs, and Julie
Majors of Dallas and Janna Berg of
Arlington, sisters of the groom. Junior
Bridesmaids were Michacla Krai of
Dallas and Shana Krai of Batch
Springs. The flower girl was Andrea
Krai.
The groom's best man was Dale
Barker of Dallas. His groomsmen
were Roy Vera of Irving, Steve Krai
of The Colony, Gary Krai of Balch
Springs both brothers of the groom;
David Majors of Dal las and Paul Berg
of Arlington. The ringbearer was
Cory Krai the nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Mike Krai of Dallas,
brother of the groom; Phillip McGann
of Dallas, Doug Hennig of Lake
Whitney and Mike Ballance of Lan-
caster.

Following the ceremony, the
couple and their parents hosted a re-
ception and dance at The Czech Club
in Dallas. Music was furnished by
Jody Mikula of Ennis.
Following a honeymoon in
Orlando,Florida, the couple will be at
home in Dallas. Donna is employed
by Majors Scientific Books in Dallas.
Richard is employed by A1 Krai Auto-
motive in Dallas as an automobile
repair technician.

State Bar of Texas
Gerald L. (Jerry) Bolfing of
Waco was inducted into the State
Bar of Texas at 10 a.m. May 16 at
the Frank C. Erwin Center in
Austin by Thomas R. Phillips Chief
Justice of the State of Texas.
Attending the ceremony were:
his wife, Kim Bolfing, Gerald
Bolfing and John, Gaily Cox and
Mr. and Mrs. Joe R. Stanislav all of
Waco and Mrs. Michael Ann
Donohoo and daughter of Austin.
Jerry is employed by the law firm
of Fulbright, Winniford, Buice and
Marable.
Kelly D. Payne
Kelly Diane Payne, four-year-old
daughter of James and Rose Mary
Payne of Abbott, was crowned Cin-
derella Tot Beauty at the Cinderella
Girl Pageant in Hillsboro on May IS.
She also received a trophy and
banner.
Kelly would like to thank herspon-
sors: Czech American Restaurant and
Sharon Russell.
She will be attending the State
competition at Texas Womens Uni-
versity at Denton during the week of
June 22 - 25. She would like to thank
all of our friends and businesses who
are hleping to sponsor Kelly at this

Kurt Anton Vrbas celebrated his
seventh birthday on May 15. Kurt
had a party at his home in West on
May 13. Grandparents, relatives,
and friends were treated with
hamburgers, chips, dips, cake and
ice cream
On May 14, Kurt celebrated with
friends and classmates at Peter
Piper Pizza in Waco.
Kurt is the son of Richard and
Margie Vrbas His grandparents are
Mary Willenborg, and Mr and Mrs
Bernard Vrbas of West Great-
grandparent is Mrs Anna
Willenborg.

Mechell Boys' Birthdays
Scott Matthew Mechell became The theme of the party was
six years old on May 2. His brother, dinosaur. Dinosaur cake and
Brian Joseph Mechell, turned two homemade ice cream was enjoyed
years old on May 4. Scott and by all.

received a notice from Blackburg, Va.
that their son, Ben C. Svrcek, has re-
ceived a Master of Arts, Degree in
electrical engineering from the Vir-
ginia Polytcchriic Institute and State
University on May 21.
Ben with wife, Fran, and son Ivan
reside in Seguin where he is employed
by Motorola as a Senior Test Equip-
ment Engineer.
