visit here to her parents, Mr. and

last week-end here, guests of Mr.

Vickers took the young ladies back
to Kingsville Monday.
We are indebted to A. R. Lee, of
Odem for some very fine Excelsior
plums, which are as sweet as sugar
when ripe. Mr. Lee has six two-
year old trees of Excelsiors from
which he has' already gathered
three bushels of pIums.^He also has
some fine peach trees, from five
of which he gathered two bushels
of ultra-fine peaches. “Don't tell
me we can’t crow fruit—as good as
is grown, any where else—in Odem,”
said Mr. Lee.

The friends of James H. Ewing—
and they are legion—were glad to
greet him last week on his return
to this city. He has been absent
several weeks, being a patient at
a San Antonio hospital, having un-
dergone a serious operation. It is
hoped that his health—100 per cent
of it—will return and that he will
again become a permanent fixture
of RobstoWn.—Robstown Record.
Mr. Ewing, who was formerly a
Sinton resident, and who-still owns
a business here, has many friends
in Sinton and surrounding, territory

prospecting trip in this section with
the view of buying a newspaper or
