Miss Ruth Towery of Refugio and
Marvin W. Carson of Sinton were
married in Sa n Antonio Saturday,
August' 28, at the parsonage of the
Grove Avenue Church of Christ,
with its pastor, Jesse P. Sewell,
performing the ceremony.
After a short stay in San Anton-
io, Mr. and Mrs. Carson returned
JsJBinton where .they will be iocat-
ed tempora’rily at the honte of Mr.
Carson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs, E.
T. Carson of the Sinton-Ode-m vi-
cinity. They will locate perman-
ently at Odem, shortly.
For the ceremony, the pretty
bride wore a navy blue fall en-
semble, with white satin trim, and
accessories of blue.
She is the attractive- daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Towery of Hol-
land and a sister of R. T. Towery,
minister Sinton Church of Christ.
She has been in the employe of the
Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
the past three yars.
Mr. Carson was graduated from
Odem High school, and attended
college at John Tarleton Junior Col-
lege at Stephenville, and is now a
prosperous- young farmer.

morning, August 30, at 8:15 o’clock
at the home of R. T. Towery, min-
ister Sinton Church of Christ, who
performed the ceremony.
Attendants were iMr. and Mrs.
Vernon Westlake of West Sinton,
brother-in-law and sister ... of the
bride. Witnesses were the bride’s
cousin, Mrs. H. W. Gist, and Mrs-
Towery.
Immediately after the ceremony,
Mf. and Mrs. Hankins left for a
wedding trip to San Antonio, FJ.
Worth, Dallas and Houston. On
their return, they will make their
hom^ at McAllen, where Mr. Hank-
ins holds a responsible position
with the Dexter Products Com-
pany.
