Boys' Saturday club was held
Saturday evening, o'clock.
After the supper which was thor-
oughly enjoyed by the lmys. the
toastuutster, Mr. Raymond Stevens,
said he felt it quite an honor to bo
the first President of the Hoys' Sat-
urday club, and t > be toastmaster oi
the second bauquet. Mr. Stevens
further stated that he had watched
with an Inteiestinti eye the growth
and activities of the club. The toast-
master then introduced Mr. I>. S,
Thompson. .Tr., the first speaker of
the evening, and announced he
would give an account of the First
Boys' conference in Texas. which
utet In Waco the last days of .No-
vember.
Mr. Thompson said he fell it quite
an honoj to be the represent I ve of
the Boys Saturday club at the con-
ference, being the youngest dele-
gate, in the conference. Mr Thomp-
son gave a complete account of the
conferences and of the hoys' work
from all parts of the state.
.Mr. Horace Reynolds was the
second speaker of the evening. Ilis
subject was ‘ What the (iym Means
to Me.'- He said it was, not only a
development for his body and mind-
hut that it afforded a giv.ni i ppor-
tunlty for pleasure. lie further
stated that the hoys who do not at-
tend the gym classes, are playing
ball on sortie bark lot and ottmi do
not learn much about ball, plating
as it often ends. not in seeing
who is lire best bail playei bill w ho
is the best fighter.

Mr. Hamilton told of the visits to

The last speaker lit the evening

Bradford responded to this call and
| gave the boys a very helpful and

evening program.
