The Famous TONIC,
is unlike any oth-
' er known remedy.
It works differently, It reaches in and
through and dojvii till it penetrates to
the seat of the disease and springs- at
the very throat of the cause of it.
It’s the only remedy that does this.
And doing this it gets results and ef-
fects cures that no other can.
.Mr. Wlmsctt says: “1 bought two
bottles of Rich-Tone for my mother.
She fhffiks’lf’ is--tlie finest tonic. She
has used many other kinds, but noth-

you want and that you won’t have any
other. He’s got it; if he hasn't make

122 North Crocfcett,
An indescribable commotion in which
gowns valuenl at $700 were toaaed
about on Broadway, I-os Angeles, a
fleeing tlilef. and a dramatic struggle
b«fore he was downed—this all hap-
pened the other day when Ethel Clay-
ton, the Paraimtaut star, went shop-
ping- —
Miss Clayton, accompanied by Mrs.
Thurston Hall, alighted from a limou-
sine l>efore one of the Los Angeles
stores. After they had selected costly
gowns that are worn by Miss Clayton
in her new Paramount picture, “Wom-
en's Weal tons,” the dresses were car-
ried to Miss Claytqn’s ear by an at-1
tendant.
Leonard Park, Miss Clayton's driver,
opened the door of the limousine, saw
that the gowns were safety Inside,
turned his gaze straight ahead. A
moment later he heard a slight move-
ment In the car. He looked around one
side and saw that the door was closed.
But when he looked on the other side
the door was open and a young man
was moving off with the gowns under
his arm.
Park bounded from his seat and
darted after the man. At the'same mo-
ment Miss Clayton and Mrs. Hall
came out of the store, hut were too
far away to render assistance. The
man was captured after a chase. Tho
gowns were recovered without damage
but the excitement of the attempted
theft caused' Miss Clayton consider-
able shock. Miss Clayton will be seeu
In her new photoplay at the Gem
Theatre on Monday and Tuesday next.
At the King.
“The Great Romance,” a Screen
(’lassies production featuring Harold
Ijockwood, will lie the attraction at
the King theatre on Monday and Tues-
day. Written by Finis Fox, the story
of this picture Is laid, for the most
part, is one of those mythical Euro-
pean kingdoms, ideal localities for ro-
mance. And be sure that-thls alx-reeler
contains a romance Of the most ro-
mantic type. It Is a romance between
Boris Daiiza. a young man reared in
the T’nited States and believing him-
self a citizen thereof, who suddenly
finds the leadership of a band of revo-'
lutionists in the kingdom of Rugarlu
thrust upon him. and Althea Hamvay,
the pretty daughter of an American
niiUiouaire whose mother is desirous
of marrying her to Prince Boris, a
worthless weakling who Is heir ap-
parent to the throne of Rugarla.
Given these characters at the outset,
Mr. Fox has piloted them through a
story of adventure, thrills and ronjance
that takes us back to the days when
McGrath and McCutcheon were In
their prime in writing this sort of fic-
tion. Mr. Lockwood and his charming
leading lady, Ruby de Remer, make
an ideal pair of lovers, while Joseph
Granby is sufficiently vlllianons as
the Prince. The picture has been laid
in; gardens and rural spots of the most
delightful sort. The getting fits the
story to a degree that only goes to en
hance the romantic and adventurous
qualities of the plot.
The picture was produced under the
direction of Henry Otto, while Frank
Currier. Frauklyn Hanna, Clare Green-
ville and Helen Lludroth lend the prin-
cipals adequate support. *

At the Queen.
Henry Walthall, whose wonderful
performance ns- tile Little. Colonel in
Griffiths ”Th” Birth of a Nation”
still stands as the most delightful
characterization ever given to the
screen, will be the star at tin1 Queen
theatre on Monday In ills latest pic-
ture, “And a Still Small Voice.’
Strangely enough. Mr. Walthall again
taKes thw rolc.of a southern gentleman
in this feature, although a gentleman
of the present day.
As Clay Randolph lie gives a re
markable characterization of this gen
tlenmn of tho South, a man with
whom honor comes before all else.
But because he secs that the girl he
loves admires another man and be-
cause he knows that this man has em-
bezzled funds, be himself takes the
blame flint no statu may fall on her
name. Subsequently he goes to New
York, where, with the shadow of a
prison term ever haunted him, he be-
comes a gentleman crook. -
And to New York also comes the
girl uml the man, now married. He
turns out to lie worthless and is not
long before Mary discovers this. But
Randolph again comes to their aid.
How the story ends, how Randolph
finally gives heed to tlip Still Small
Voire of Conscience and gives up his
career of crime in order to serve his
country, puts a thrilling climax on this
tale of unrequited love and sacrifice.
MV. Walthall is supported by an
exceptional cast which includes Frit-
zi Brunette. George Fisher and Jo-
seph J. Dowling,
