Villa forces and the command of Gen-
eral Francisco Murguia was resumed
at dawn in a nigged canyon in the
Babrieora. district of Western Chihua-
hua. according to unofficial ruixirts re-
ceived here last night from General
Murguia's base at Casas Grandcs. ,<
Tlie battle started at 5 o'clock in (he
morning mid continued for two hours,
wiicii the Villa force, numbering more
than 1,200, was forced to retire toward
San Jose de Ijis Cuevas, fifteen miles
from Sail Miguel de Bahicora, where
the fight occurred on Wednesday. The
