General Wio.kersham declared that
In his opinion the federal court af
’ rndlanaiolls had been extremely
lenient In the dynam'te "consplr"

general emphasized. was made
without Intention to critic lee Judge
Anderson.
Mr. Wicktraham said that in all
probability he would send the evi-
dence collected at the Indianapolis
trial to the authorities of the state*
where the offenses were committed,
w'tb a view to permitting those of-
ficials to try, under state laws, any
of the defendants they might desire
to prosecute In connection with o'y-
namitlngs. Such defendants, he
added, could be tried during tli.j ser-
vice of the'r federal prison terms
and, If convicted, turned over to the
stateg for further punishment after
tho expiration of t^e federal term.--
The convictions at Indianapolis,
said the attorney general constitut-
ed one of the greatest accomplis'h-
tnpnts in the history of the American
courts. They p oved, lie added,
that officers and agents of no or-
ganization. however. powerful,
whether of cap'tal. labor or i Hers,
could wield the'r influence to break
the laws of the country. The results
