The Indian Journal, published at Mus-
kogee, I. T., pays Mr. Burhans, local
editor of our cotemporary, the following
desetving compliment:
Mr. R. P. Burhms—“Polk”—of the
Denison Da Iv Cresset, who vist ed the
tair at this place, has written for his pa-
per a series ot' letters from the Territory,
in a stv le at once pleasing, and doubly
interesting from the faithfulness with
which ne desetibes what lie saw, anti the
correct view he took of the Territory, its
people, and their inteiests. As a writer,
he is clear and brilliant, expressing hit.
ideas in excellent and forcible language.
It is such men that our Indian people de-
sire to visit them—men who see tor
themselves the true condition of their al-
ia irs instead ot taking it second hand;
who will judge unbiased by predilections
or interest, and report to the outside
world the results ot their observations
and experience. It is such men that
Congress and the people of the States
wish to hear from. Mr. Burhans has
done the Cresset a valuable service, which
is properly appreciated, and we are
pleased to congratulate its editor in the
securing of a gentleman so well qnalified
to represent it.

There is no medicine prescribed bv
physicians, or sold by Druggists, that
carries such evidence of its success and
superior virtue as Boschee’s German
Syrup for severe coughs, colds settled on
the breast, consumption, or any disease
of the throat or lungs. A proof of that
tact is that any person afflicted can get a
sample bottle for ten cents and try its
superior effect before buying the regular

its wonderful cures are astonishing every

any case. Try it. Sold by McKmght &

For the better convenience of the con-
sumer, the proprietors of Dr. Sherman’s
Malara'uge now put it up in 75 cent bot-
tles as well as $1 50, its heretofore. To
those who are acquainted with the Mala-
riftige, it is not necessary to say a word
in its behalf. But to those who shake in
ignorance of it, we will simply say, try it,
and add vour testimony to thousands of
others that it cured you. No other med-
icine is required, as it is a combined
tonic, alterative, cathartic, febrifuge,
cholagogue and anti-periodic. It neu-
tralizes miasmatic poison, purifies and
invigorates the blood, restores the liver
and other diseased organs to their natural
healthy condition, thereby thoroughly
eradicating the disease. For sale at
l Acheaon’s drug store,
Mr. Geo. C. Brown, recently of this
ritv, has opened a restaurant on North
Travis street, opposite the City Bank,
Sherman, which is known as “Brown’s
Restaurant,” Mr. Brown employs none
but the best help, and customers are
certain to receive prompt and polite at-

Mr. Brown would be pleased to receive
the patronage of his many Denison

visit Sherman. Remember the place-
