Mr. Stiff, of McKinney, has sold fifty-one
head of b ef cattle, in this city, to Mr. L.

al price of $51 per head. They
are very choice cattle, pronounced by ex-
perienced dealers the finest ever seen in
the Denison Stock Yards. They average
in weight about 1300 pounds each. Mr.
Stiff, says they have consumed 2000

Mr. Preston, of Montague, the father
of William Preston, who was seized by
four men in the Nation, near Baxter
Springs, over a year ago, hung and rob-
bed, was in tire city Friday consulting
attorneys as to the means to pursue to
bring the murderers to justice. The four
men who committed the deed are within
sixteen miles of Baxter. 11c is confident
he w ill he able to bring them to justice.
