If the Crowell-Paducah foot-
ball game had lasted a few
more seconds, the Dragons prob-
ably would have scored again.
A 15-yard penalty was called
against Crowell on the last
piay of the game. Had play
continued Paducah would have
had a first down on the Cro-
well 9.
Floydadu, Matador and Lock-
ney were placed in the category
of outstanding championship
contenders before the campaign
began Sept. 13. Floydadu and
Matador already have proved their
mettle, but Paducah is making a
bid tor one of the favored roles
given earlier to Lockney’s defend-

*ME AT A GLANCE
If the Dragons had plenty of
reserve material, the Crowell
slaughter would have come off
according to schedule. But even
this corner feels that the in-
jury-ridden orange and white
played near-championship foot-
ball.

Hogue probably will see action at
a tackle position tonight.

Two undefeated teams will
clash when Paducah invades
Memphis. Memphis record:
Memphis 1 2—Lakeview 0; Mem-
phis 6—Mobeetie 0. Paducah
record: Padci:ah 33—Tulia 0,
Paducah 6—Crowell 0. On the
basis of results, Paducah holds
an edge over the Cyclone. In-
juries to key Dragon players,
howver, may offset that ad-
vantage.
