Pat Christianson,
Realtor
1974 has been a good year
for Palacios when we consider
real estate activity. And, when
we think of sales of Palacios
real estate we must recognize
the persons involved - the
seller and the buyer. _
There is the young, single
person buying his first home
(3 sales from this office to
the young, single adult); the
young family buying a home
(6 sales);the vacation home or
second - home buyer (10
sales); the investor purchas-
ing a home for our rental
market (8 sales); small tracts
of land (5 sales)- three of '
these for future home sites
and one is being nicely dev-
eloped Into a mobile home
park; another purchased by
the PISD for future npeds.
As a prospective Investor
in our Palacios area, take
the first step by stepping into
our office. Whether you are
considering the first home,
an income property, land,
commercial buildings, a good
business which is for sale,
the second-home, fine bay-
shore properties, let us assist
you. We are always glad to
visit with you.
As a prospective seller,
talk with us abbut the services
we offer. We welcome you,
for without you and your prop-
erty sales are not made.

The 7th Grade Hornets were
slowed by the mud and cold
weather Thursday but still
managed a 10-0 victory over
Bloomington. The Hornets now
8th grade
eases by
Bob Kittens
Palacios and Bloomington 8th
Graders met last Thursday
and both put on a stout de-
fensive show.
Palacios was the winner but
by a narrow margin.
Neither team was able to get
on the scoreboard in the first
quarter,
Midway through the second
quarter, Steve Garcia hit Mi-
chael Roy on a roll out pass.
Roy took the ball 42 yards to
the Bloomington 2 yard line
where Mike Hansen carried it
over for the score on he next
play. The extra point try was
stopped short. This proved to
be all the scoring for the night.
Hansen was the leading ball
carrier for the Hornets. Roy
caught 2 Garcia passes for 50
yard and Andy Flores caught
a Roy pass for 32 yards.
Leaders of the mighty Hor-
net defense were Paul Hunt,
Mike Hansen and Robert Flo-
res. Rena Morales, Bubba
Duke and Kenny Brune also had
fine nights defensively.
M. Roy and Andy Flores each
intercepted a pass.
This Thursday will be your
last chance to see the 1974
Hornets as they tangle with
Ganado.
own a 7-0 record with one
game remaining against Gana-
do Thursday.
The Hornets defense again
did an oustandtng job at hold-
ing the kittens scoreless and
accounting for a safety and a
blocked punt that set up the
Hornet touchdown.
The first half was scoreless
as both teams played good
defense and neither team could
move the ball.
In the second half the Hor-
nets took advantage of a short
punt that went 8 yards.
The Hornets then drove to the
27 yard line where Tony Gar-
cia hit Steve Gonzales on a 25
yard pass that went to the 2
yard line.
Ray Schneider then went over
right guard for the touchdown
and made the extra points to
make the score 8-0.
In the fourth quarter the Hor-
net defense pushed the Kittens
back to their own 2 yard line
where the Kittens had a third
and two. They attempted to run
around the left end but were
caught behind the goal line by
Robert Haynes. Steve Gon-
zales and Dale Callway for a
safety. That made the score
10-0 as the defensive unit held
the Kittens scoreless the rest
of the game for the win.
Steve Gonzales, Tony Garcia
and Bobby Buckley led the de-
fensive charge for the Hor-
nets.
.The Hornets last game is
against Ganado Thursday,
Nov. 14, starting at 5:30 p.m.
