Thank You
Matagorda County
My dear friends,
On December 31, 1992, sixteen wonderful years serving as
your Sheriff will come to an end. Reflecting back on those
years, I have many fond memories. These memories will live
with me forever.
Expressions of gratitude and love are hard to put in writing.
To those of you who gave so unselfishly of your time and
money during my re-election bid, I thank you from the
bottom of my heart. Your loyalty, hard work and prayers
will never be forgotten by me and my family. To those who
supported another candidate, I am truly sorry that I lost
your confidence and vote.
Matagorda County is a great place to live and work. I ask
all my supporters to join whoever is elected your sheriff to
help our law enforcement in the future as you did with me
in the past.
My best wishes will always be with Matagorda County.
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO SERVE AS YOUR
SHERIFF.
Respectfully,
S. L. "Sam" Hurta,
Sheriff of Matagorda County
