In the run-off primary held
last Saturday throughout Co-
lorado county, the race bet-
ween Adam Burttschell, pres-
ent sheriff, and Frank F.
Hoegemeyer of Eagle Lake his
opponent, the contest was de-
cided in favor of Mr. Hoege-
meyer who led his opponent
by nearly 200 votes.
Mr. Hoegemeyer is a son of
Chas. F. Hoegemeyer Sr. well
known farmer of the New Bie-
lau section, was born and rais-
ed near Weimar, moving to
the Eagle Lake section a few
years ago, where he engaged
in farming, and is a substan-
tial, good citizen, one whom
we believe will make Colorado
county a brave and efficient
peace officer.
