Highlights of Harmonic Club s
FIRST PLACE for floats In Saturday’s Valentine Parade
went to the Alapha Club-Palaclos Recreation Association
entry which carried sweetheart candidate Candy Thompson.
SECOND PLACE went to the Petersen's and Maddox Exxon
float which carried Jo Ann Schroeder and Patti Hold.
THIRD PLACE FLOAT was the entry of Allen Ford Sales
and Collins Seafood which carried candidates April Latapie
Hater crowned Sweetheart of 1975) and Cathy Glllett.
KIM STEWART, the 1974 Valentine Sweetheart, riding the
Harmonie Club float.
THE CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT FLOAT carried
sweetheart candidates Lynn Johnson and Debbie Bickham
accompanied by Christl Kerchevllle and Tracy Elliott.
THE FLOAT entered by City State Bank and the Chamber
of Commerce carried candidates Janet Rockenbaugh and
Gaye Chamblee.
THREE FIRMS, Palacios Floral, Campbell-Hultt Insurance
and Sealand Texaco, entered this float which carried
Mary Junek and Susan Richman.
OUT-OF-TOWN ENTRIES helped brighten this year’s par-
ade. This one was from the Cuero Chamber of Commerce
and Agriculture. Others included Jackson County, the Tide-
haven School Band, Yoakum Chamber of Commerce, Hal-
letsville Chamber of Commerce, and the Cuero VFW
Post 3972.
PEGGY PURTEL AND CINDY SMITH rode this float entered
by Dumas Seafoods and H and H Chevrolet.
THE FFA FLOAT carried Keren Batchelder and Sharen
Taylor.
THE PALACIOS HIGH SCHOOL BAND was near the front
• of the parade and entertained spectators in front of the
judges’ stand. Sandra Coffman, a sweetheart entry, and
.drum major, is shown here with the hand twirlers.
THIS WAS THE LIONS CLUB float entry carrying Pam
Miller and Kim Sparks.
