By D. RUIXINGTON
Hope everyone had a nice Christ-
mas and New Year’s holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Maddox had
25 members of the family visit
them during the Christmas holi
days. The Maddoxes recently moved
to Palacios from Bryan and now
make their home with their son
and family, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron
Maddox. The Maddoxes have eight
children, 22 grandchildren and 10
great grandchildren.
There is still some sickness
around the community but glad to
report Lee Maddox is now home
from the hospital, also Shannon
Jenkins. Both were confined to
Wagner General Hospital this past
week.
Mrs. Otha Lee Bona is recuperat-
ing at the home of her sister, Mrs.
Norene Murry after undergoing
major surgery recently at Mata-
gorda General Hospital.
Lawrence Hill is still a patient
at Wagner General. We wish him
and all others who are confined to
homes with colds and the flu a
speedy recovery; also Pat McKis-
sick who is a patient at Gulf Coast
Medical Center in Wharton.
Visiting the Carl Ackermans on
Sunday were her sisters, Mrs. Al-
vina Laslie of Blessing and Mrs.
