Janak-Gold exchange wedding vows
Jeanie Annette Gold of
Nada became the bride
of Allan Ray Janak of
Palacios Aug. 22 in St.
Mary’s Catholic Church-
in Nada.
Officiating at the cer-
emony were the Rev.
Paul Raaz of St. Steph-
ens Church in San An-
tonio, Rev. Brian Crook-
es of Palacios, Msgr.
Victor Schmidtzinsky-
and Msgr. Alsis Leopold
of Nada. —
The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Gold of
Nada; The bridegroom’s
parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Janak of-Pala-
cios.*
Twobouquetsof white
and orchid gladiolus
were placed on the altar,
which was flanked by
two baskets of galdiolus
and mums. The sanctu-
ary was decorated with
white candelabras en-
twined with greenery
and two more baskets of
white flowers. Large
ferns accented“the com-
munion rails.
Organists -were Mrs.
Clarence Mat tin and
Don Boomgaarden, ac-
compained by St. Mary’s
Choir. Two duets were
sung -by Mrs. Joe L.
Pspp and Mrs.-Anthony-
Kallina. ~
Julie Epps of Eagle
Lake attended the bride
as m.aid of honor with
Mrs. Steve Faas of
Edna, sister of the bride,
as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included
Susan Gold, sister of the
bride, Janet Wied and
Stephanie Schneider,
friends of the bride, all
of Nada, Sharon Janak,
sister of the groom and
Mrs. Hudson Bates, Jr.,
friend of the groom, botfr
of Palacios. Mrs. Gary
Supak from- El eampo
and Betty Lou Bsenisth
of Garwood, both friends
of the bride, and Brenda
Ksrenek of Garwood,
cousin of the bride.
Keri Kana, a friend of
the groom was the flower
girl and Craig Dorrak of,,
El Campo, cousin to the
groom, served as ring-
bearer.
Steve- Capak of Pala-
cios served the bride-
groom as best man.
Groomsmen were Gary~
Janak, brother of the
groom, Daryl Capak,
Hudson Bates Jr.,
Wayne Hunter and
George Kana, friends of
the groom all from Pala-
cios. Steve Faas of Edna,
brother-in-law of the
bride, Chris Gold of
Nada, brother of the
bride. Tommy Ficak of
New Braunfels, cousin of
the groom and Gary
Supak of El Campo,
friend of the bride.
Ushers included Pat
Gold, Roy Seaman, Greg
Ksrenek, John Hunt and
Carl Mascheck.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Junelc, sister — and
brother-in-law of the
groom served as wit-
nesses.
Linda and Thomas
Gold, brother and sister
of the bride, carried up
the offertory gifts.
The bride wore a
princess silhouette gown
of white chiffon with a
cameo neckline and full
bishop sleeves. The
gown was trimmed with
Venetian lace and Schift-
lie embroidered lace
with scattered lace
mstifs on the skirt.
The chapel length
train fell from a match-
ing band of lace. The
fingertip veil of imported
white illusion with
matching lace was se-
cuered by a Juliet cap.
The bride carried- a
cascading bouquet of
white and orchid roses,
accented with other
small orchid-colored
flowers, baby’s breath
and her grandmother's
gold rosary.
Bridal attendants wore
orchid polyester gowns
with gathered waistlines
and orchid chiffon sash-
es. Each wore a single
orchid-colored flower in
their hair and carried a
bouquet of different
shades of long-stemmed
orchid roses accented
with baby’s breath.
The bride’s mother
wore a mauve polyester
dress with a matching
lace jacket. Her corsage
consisted -of matching
colored roses and baby’s
breath.
The -groom’s mother
wore a polyester dress of
deep purple with a pleat-
ed skirt and chiffon cape.
Her dress was accente<C
with her corsage of
matching colored roses
and baby’s breath.
Special guests_were
the bride’s grand-
mother, Mrs. Leo Ksre-
nek of Naday and the
groom’s grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Krejci
of Hillje. -
A reception was held
at the KJT Hall in Nada.

The three-tiered-white
bridal cake had pine-
apple filling and was
topped with a bride and

also featured a lavendar
water fountain at the
base. Stairways on both
sides-of the cake led to
smaller tiered cakes on
each side which then led
to the brides' bouquet
which was placed on the
table.

After a wedding trip to
Cancun, Mexico, the
couple will live in Pala-
cios.
The bride, a 1979
graduate of Rice High
School, graduated from
Wharton County Junior
College in 1981 with high
honors.
