ENGAGEMENT—Mrs. Ethel
P. Claiborne announces the en-
gagement of her daughter, Su-
ellen, to Camille Martin, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Martin of
Centerville, Louisiana. The bride-
elect is a graduate of Palacios
High School and attended Del
Mar College. The prospective
groom is a graduate of Center-
ville High School and just finish-
ed a tour of duty with the army
in Germany. A May wedding is
planned.

And Mrs. Bozeman
Married In California
Mrs. R. T. Bozeman has returned
from LaMirada, California where
she attended the wedding of her
granddaughter, Sheralyn Holbrook.
Sheralyn exchanged wedding
vows with David Hugh Bell at the
First Christian Church of LaHabra,
California on Saturday, February
4th. Reverend Darrell Terry per-
formed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. A. P. Holbrook, of La Mi-
rada, California, and granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Bozeman of
Palacios. The groom is the son of
j Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Bell of
| Emmet, Arkansas.
Vergil Taylor, close friend of the
| family, sang “Because”.
The bride, given in marriage by
j her father, wore a gown of alencon
lace trimmed with seed pearls and
sequins, with long pointed sleeves
and scalloped neckline. Her bouf-
fant illusion veil was held in place
by a circlet of pearls. She carried
a bouquet of white roses, carnations
and lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Karen Holbrook, sister-in-
law of the bride, served as matron
of honor, and wore a street length
gown of aqua lace over taffeta,
with matching accessories and car-
ried a bouquet of tinted carnations.
Patricia Holbrook and Dana Hol-
brook, sisters of the bride, were
bridesmaids. Wearing dresses iden-
tical to the matron of honor’s, in
lavender and melon lace, they car-
ried bouquets of tinted carnations.
Serving as best man wa3 Rich-
ard Holbrook, brother of the bride,
and ushers were Douglas Mitchell
and Dennis Palmer.
Mrs. Holbrook, mother of the
bride, wore hot pink with matching
accessories and an orchid corsage.
The bride’s book was attended by
Martha Wallace. Guests attended a
reception followed the ceremony
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James
Wallace, La Mirada, California.
The bride chose a suit of off-
white silk shantung with blue ac-
cessories when the couple left for
a short honeymoon. The bride is a
graduate of La Mirada High School
and the groom a graduate of Ox-
nard High School. The couple will
make thiir home in Ruena Park,
California, following their return.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Charles
Orsak of Hungerford announce the
j birth of their first child, a son, born
I Saturday, February 11, at 12:04 p.
| m. at fhe Gulf Coast Medical Cen-
I ter in Wharton. He has been named
j Benedict Charles Orsak, Jr. and on
arrival weighed eight pounds five
| ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Benedict L. Kutach
of Palacios are the maternal grand-
parents and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie
Orsak of Hungerford the paternal
grandparents.
Bennie Jr. was christened on
Sunday, Februay 11, at St. John’s
Catholic Church in Hungerford
with Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Novak
of Palacios as godparents. Grand-
ma Kutach spent several days in
Hungerford getting acquainted with
her new grandson and helping pre-
pare the baptismal dinner.
