SCHOOL PROGRAM.
A well rendered program
was enjoyed Friday night by
the patrons and visitors at the
Ward School. Each pupil car-
ried out well their part of the
program, and much credit is
due them and especially their
effecient teacher, Mrs. Mary
Trojcak for the splendid en-
tertainment. After the pro-
gram was rendered a number
of cakes donated by the good
ladies of the school were sold
by auctioneer Otto Zappe
from which a neat sum was
realized which will be used
for the beneit of the school.
Cemetery Cleaning.
The Annual cleaning of the
Shiloh Cemetery will be Wed-
nesday, May 14th. Dinner will
be served on the grounds.
Everybody is invited.

maiden name was Miss Nina
Hazelwood was born at Seclu-
sion, Lavaca county, Texas,
January 2nd, 1872 and . died
at her home in Hallettsville.
Saturday afternoon at 5:19
o’clock, May 3rd, 1924. Aged
52 years 4 months and 1 day.
The funeral occured from
her late residence Sunday af-
ternoon at 3:30 o’clock inter-
ment was made in the city Ce-
