Bridal Shower Honors
Mary Ann Brune
A miscellaneous bridal shower
honoring Miss Mary Ann Brune,
bride-elect of Ralph Brown, was
held Sunday afternoon at St. An-
thony’s Parish Hall.
The honoree upon arrival was
presented a corsage containing
small, useful kitchen articles. Ttu-
mothers of the engaged couple,
Mrs. Edmund Brune and Mrs. Hom-
er Brown, were also remembered
with similar corsages.
After the honored guests were
seated at the bride’s table, which
was covered with a white over red
; net cloth decorated with clusters
' of white wedding bells, Mrs. Tram-
mel Hunter, sister of the bride,
read the toast to the bride. An-
other sister, Mrs. Donald Dean,
j registered the guests as they ar-
rived. Following the playing of
shower games, the many lovely and
useful gifts were opened and ad-
mired. The hrostesses’ gift to the
bride was a 53-piecs, service for
eight, set of China.
The honoree’s chosen colors of
red and white were carried out in
decorations and table arrangement.
Refreshments of chicken salad
sandwiches, chips, pickles, mints,
cake, kolaches, punch and coffee
were served from a table laid with
a white lace cloth centered with a
red arrangement and flanked on
each end with a red taper in a
silver holder.
Hostesses for the pre-nuptial
shower were Mesdames Victor |
Dolezal, Trammel Hunter, George
Capak, Charlie Michalik, Kenneth I

the First Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Truman W. Allen of

Miss Beverly Tegge was organ-
ist and played the traditional wed-
ding marches.
The bride, escorted to the altar
by her father, wore a cage gown
of hand-clipped chantilly lace over
angelskin peau. The neckline was
accented by a wedding ring of
: white satin. The street length dress
was designed with kabuki sleeves
l edged in scallops. The scallops
; were repeated at the hemline of the
I gown. Her waist length mantilla
of English net was outlined in
matching lace with a scalloped
edge. Her only jewelry was a
locket belonging to her grand-
mother.
Mrs. Glen Adams was matron of
honor. She was attired in a street
length dress of peach fashioned
with bell sleeves.
Joe Ray Beard attended as best
man.
A wedding reception was held in
the foyer of the church immediate-
ly following the ceremony. Mrs. Joe
Ray Beard served the cake and
Mrs. Dennis Bartosh presided at
the punch bowl.
When the couple left on their
wedding trip, the bride wore for
travel a grey wool suit.
