Colorado trip
Visitors to the Palacios area
last week included Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene C. Struckhoff of
Connecticut and Mr. and Mrs.
Peter King of Colorado
Springs.
Both couples, all veteran
birdwatchers, joined LTC (Ret)
and Mrs. Guy R. Claybourn,
Jr. for an outing which was
deemed a success due to the
fine weather and the vanguard
of migratory bird species
working northward.
The Kings are scheduled to
make a birdwatching trip north
of the Arctic Circle this
summer.
They are to fly to Yellow-
knife, in the Northwest Terri-
tory of Canada by commercial
air and then continue to Bat-
hurst - about 500 miles farther
north -• by means of a
chartered turboprop aircraft.
