MARINE CORPS ENLISTING
| RECRUITS FOR THREE YEAR
“The Marine Corps new policy
of enlisting men and women for
only three years is going way
over expectations," announced
Major Edward II. Pesely, Officer
in Charge of the Dallas Marine
Recruiting Station and North Tex-
ts area.
Major Pesely says, “that young
men and women are responding
to the throe year enlistment pol-
i icy and the buddy-group system
| with zeal and enthusiasm that is
a credit to the state of Texas.
The Marine Corps initiated the
three year enlistment plan on the'
1st of October. Prior to that time
; only the four enlistments had
been accepted. But because of
the Corps' rapid expansion in all
fields of endeavor, the word was
! received to once again begin the
I three year enlistment and the
fellows. This year I'm driving an OK Used Car!”
Old hands at Holiday driving want quick, sure
starts in cold weather. That’s why winter buy-
ers prefer inspected and reconditioned OK
Used Cars. They drive with confidence backed
by the dealer warranty in writing. Remember
that our volume trade-ins mean extra savings
and wider selection for you.
Sold only by an Authorized Chevrolet Dealer
buddy-group system.
“The buddy-group system,” ex-
plained the Major, “means that

friend or buddy and remain

leave together".
Major Pesely extends an invi-
tation to all young men and
women who are comtcmplating
military service, to drop in and
sec one of his recruiters or check
with their Local Postmaster and
find out when a Marine Corps Re-
cruiter will bo. in their particular
