project.
Mr. Hughes advises us that the
Carrollton Athletic Association of-
ficials, when advised that they
were to receive a portion of the
profits from the endeavor, was
elated and wiil assist the Jaycees
in selling tickets.
Tickets will be on sale at $1 per
ear all during this week from alt
Jaycees and many Little Leaguers
throughout the Carrollton area.
“If you fail to purchase your
ticket prior to Saturday, tickets
will be on sale at the car wash
firm with no increase in price,”
said Hughes.
“Come and have your car or
cars thoroughly washed and
cleaned by the losing team of Jay-
cees in our recent membership
drive and back our Carrollton Ath-
letic Association ait the same
time,” urged Mr. Hughes.

The fourth of July was a won-
derful day for our club. Thanks to
the Jaycees for letting us have
a Dart Throw Booth at their an-
nual celebration. We were lucky
and made enough money to pay
for real set of professional scales.
This has been an inspiration to all
the members.
Recently there have been two
TOPS Club members from other
parts of the “United States on
separate TV shows and it has been
a real joy to all of us to know
■how members of other units are

of our members visited the Big D
TOPS Club in Oak Cliff Friday
night and were happy to see'Betty
Pruitt presented a TOPS charm.
This award for being the big
April loser went to Betty for her
efforts in that club before trans-
ferring to the local club, where
she is now serving as president.
Anyone wanting to lose weight
should come visit our group on
Thursday nights at 7:30. We meet
in one of the club rooms uptstairs
at the Fiarmers Branch Recreation
Center.
