JACK VAUGHAN
Jack C. Vaughan, district man-
ager in Richardson for Texas
Power & Light Company was re-
cently elected president of the
Richardson Chamber of Commerce.
Before going to Richardson to
assume his new TP&L post,
Vaughan formerly was a resident
of Farmers Branch where he
served as president of the Farmers
Branch Jaycees and later was a
director of the Farmers Branch
Chamber of Commerce.
Vaughn has many friends in the
Carrollton-Farmers Branch area
who wish him well in his new
Chamber assignment.

Emmett H. Evans
Heads Dal-Tex
Emmett H. (Zeke) Evans, Gen-
eral Sales Manager and vice-presi-
dent of Dal-Tex Aviation since Oc-
tober, 1958, has been elected presi-
dent of the company, the Board of
Directors has announced.
Dal-Tex located on Addison
Airport in Addison, is the world’s
largest authorized Cessna airplane
dealer in number of airplanes
sold.
Mr. Evans replaced Eldon Bloyd
who has joined an aircraft manu-
facturing company in Wichita,
Kans., in an executive capacity.
A native of Dallas, Mr. Evans
has been active in aviation since
1942. He served for three years
during World War n as a pilot on
B-29 aircraft. Since then, he has
been associated with American
Airlines for five years, Central
Airlines for four years, Aero Com-
mander for two years and was a
Piper dealer for one year.
Dal-Tex is a completely inter-
grated aviation installation offer-
ing every phase of aircraft service,
maintenance, sales, leasing, flight
training, radio and overhaul.

JERRY BROWDER AWARDED
LETTER AT S. F. AUSTIN
NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Jerry
Browder of Carrollton was one of
28 football players who received
letters at Stephen F. Austin State
College, according to an announce-
ment just released by Head Foot-
ball Coach William (Red) Conk-
right.
Of the 28 who were awarded
letters, only six will be last by
graduation for the 1960 season.
The six are Tommy Humphries,
end; Ottis Hargett, halfback; Ron-
nie Neill, fullback; Dean Fikes,
end; Harold Stephens, second team
All-LCU quarterback; and Bobby
Siliva, Williamson System All-
American.
The other 21 players getting
the awards are Don Bell, Don By-
ars, Jackie Cannon, Billy Joe
Davis, Ken Autry Davis, Quinn
Eudy, Frank Fagan, Jerry Grigs-
by, Billy Hopson, Kenneth Mc-
iMichael, John Marlar, Robert Nun-
nally, Danny Persons, Jim Reagan,
Carl Rogers, Royce Shelton, Ruel
Smith, Jerry Thompson, Lynn Wig-
