No one seemed to be inter-
ested in -what the town council
did in collecting money1 or in
its disposal, so there were no
folks there to investigate the
Budget and see what it really
takes to operate the town’s af-
fairs when the council held its
meeting Monday night. I1
may also be a waste of time
and effort to publish the same,
but we are doing so in this
issue of the Chronicle that you
may see, if you really care a
rap about the town and its ad-
vancement or its operation,
What it takes to care for the
many activities which the town
must care for for your conven-
ience. Ten thousand dollars a
year is quite a bit of money to
handle for a little place like
this and it would seem that
folks would take a little bit of
interest in what it is spent for,
and how it comes in.

guidance of Herbert Hoover
could not recognize Soviet
