The young women of the Meth-
odist Church met Tuesday after-
noon with Mrs. W. A. Bruce for
the purpose of organizing a young
woman’s circle of the Woman’s
Missionary Society. RoIleal 1 was

Mrs. Darrel Hayes gave the de-
votional, ‘‘We Have Not Passed
this Way Before,” and Mrs. Haw-
kins gave an interesting talk on
the society and its work.
The following officers were elect-
ed: Chairman, Mrs. W. A. Bruce;
vice chairman, Mrs. E. E. Faires;
secretary', Naomi Hamilton; treas-
urer, Mrs. G. T. Isbell.
Refreshments were served and
a short social was enjoyed.
The next meeting will be with
Mrs. E. E. Faires, Oct. 4th, from
4:00 to 5:30 o’clock p. m.

A twelve days revival meeting
closed at the Gibtown Baptist
Church, Wednesday afternoon, at
the water’s edge. The meeting
was Cjondueted by. Rev. Hughes of
Perrin. There were twenty addi-
tions to the church, twelve of them
by baptism. The church elected
Rev. Hughes as pastor for the fol-
lowing year. He will preach here
the first Sunday in October.
On Sunday, the Sunday school
was well attended, and good inter-
est taken. At night the singing
was well attended and another
ordered for the class.

years in Weatherford.

Ranger were visitors in Gibtown,
Sunday.

have classes for each age group,

studying India, the Foreign Mis-

enough sandwiches of their own
kind and make, place them on a
table as you come in. A commit-

prepare chocolate and coffee. At

tress and cover, feather bed. two

with protector and slip, and can-
dlewiek spread. A three-cornered
table fits into the scheme nicely,
as she has to conserve space. A
stool matches the table and above
there is a mirror. A chair and
three hooked rugs and an odd ta-
ble complete the furnishings. Cur-
tains to harmonize with the paper
were hung at the windows.
