ble of different salad paltes.
At the conclusion of.the evening,
sandwiches, olives, cookies and hot
punch were served.

last Thursday evening at the high
school auditorium, Miss Jean Mc-
Gregor, senior class representative,
was crowned Queen of Coleman
high school for 1938, closing an in-
tensive campaign by each of Un-
tom' classes to elect their respec-
tive sponsors for the, honor, Votes,
which sold for one cent each, were
raised l.y the classes through enter-
tainments and sales, proceeds will
finance the junior-senior banquet
next spring.
Other class candidates, who at-
tended the queen as ladled In wait-
ing, were Miss Billie XIarie Miller,
Junior; Miss Betty ,1o Gross, soph-
omore, and Miss Jennielou Gram-
mer, freshman. , '
The queen Wore an elaborate sat-
in coronation robe, which is the
property of the RChool and will be
used each year, as the pageant will
he observed as an annual affair
from how on. She was growned by
Supt. C. H, Hufford, who was the
only one who knew her identity
until he announced her name, A
large number of students partici-
pated in the program, which was
well attended.
