July fireworks.
Jesse and Juanita have mov-
ed a trailer home to the old
Holmans homeplace and plan to
use it as their second home
while visiting friends and rela-
tives here and other places-
within driving range of Bur-
kett.
Mrs. Christine Kirkham had

Friday of last week her daugh-
ter, Frances Eakin-and husband
of Los Lunas, N. M. They came
to move her mother to their
home where she will reside
until she makes1 other ar-
rangements. '

returned home Saturday after
spending about a week in San
Angelo.
Our sympathy is extended to
the George Johnson family and

passed away last Wednesday

built a new carport east of their
house. Helen has taken a vaca-
tion from the Beauty Shoppe

The Texas Soybean Associa-
tion and Elanco Products Co. in
conjunction with the Texas
Agricultural Extension Ser-
vice, Texas A&M University
System, are once again spon-
soring the Texas Soybean Yield
Contest. Each entrant must
grow at least 50 acres of
soybeans, at least 5 of which
must be harvested. Entry
forms must be in by Aug. 5 and
