Whon And Trickham Home Demonstration
Clubs Have Joint Meeting Al Whon
The Trickham H. £>. Club met
with the Whon club Wednesday,
May 19 in the club room with Mrs.
Joe C. Barnes giving the first dem-
onstration on work simplification.
The house was called to order by
the president and the meeting was
opened by repeating the pledge and
prayer.
Mrs. Boenlclce of the Trickham
Club led the songs Dreaming and
A S6ng of Peace.
Roll call was answered by tell-
ing who she was, how many in her
family and a chore to be simpli-
fied.
A discussion on agree and dis-
agree was the first topic of the
afternoon.
Use a tray when setting the table
and in clearing it as well Mrs. Joe
C. Barnes told the group. She
continued to say "save steps and
make both hands work. Mrs. Barnes
then explained the why, what,
where and when a job should be
accomplished.
The next meeting will be June
2 when the Trickham Club will
again meet with the Whon Club
in the club room for the second
meeting on work simplification.
Mrs. Milton Johnson will give a
demonstration on how to iron a
shirt in five minutes. Every one
is invited to attend.
Refreshments of punch, cookies
and sandwiches were served to 17
members of the Whon Club and to
Mines. W. K. Bradley, Walter Stacy,
Bond Featherston, Buck Mitchell,
Albert Dean, Oscar Boenicke, E.
Curtis, Will Haynes, Lige Lancas-
ter and Miss Patsy Mdver, all of
the Trickham Club.
