The weather is certainly
hard to keep track of this
week - near summer tem-
peratures and then “sur-
prise”, snow on Monday.
All along, I’ve been tell-
ing everyone to watch for
the robins. When we see
the Robins, we could
darn near go out and fill up
our swimming pools and
drag our summer clothes
out of the mothballs.
Well - forget all that -
Kathlene N is belt inform-
ed me Monday morning,
that two of the prettjest
Robins you'd ever see were
out in her yard' playing
with the blackbirds in the
snow. Now, Tuesday was
looking pretty good, but
what kind of spring are we
I recently received a rain
watch sign from Bailey
Whittington of Glen Cove.
Bailey says he has never
seen it to fail yet. It goes
like this - If you see any of
the spring fed creeks or
tanks begin to take an inch
or more drop in depth a
day then expect little or no
rain. If you notice -the
natural springs are begin-
ning to run pretty good or
are on the rise, then expect
a heavy rain within the
same wn«»k
Now for the news-
Most of the folks in our
area report that they are
well on the road to re1
covery.
The Glen Cove Com-
munity Supper will be
supposed to interpret from hosted this Saturday even-
that kind of sign. Guess ing by Ral and Laura Dees
we’d better wait for the
scissor-tails to show up and
the mesquite trees to put
on leaves.
