Paging All Headers: We’re lilt-
ing a left wing ttj let you In on the
aoclal life of the Colejrmn Plying
Cadets.
May we Introduce ourselves: We
are the Super Snoopers and you
can call us the Curtis P-40’s. We
Intend to enlighten a lew people on
a lew things.
Prom all reports we hear the
Ranch Party was quite a success
due to the enthusiasm of a couple
ot "drug store cow pokes” Heather -
ly and Bartlett. Everyone that
didn’t attend really missed their
share ol lun.
Cadet Amldon Irom Vermont and
"Cookie” Cafley certainly seemed to
enjoy each other’s company, were
wandering where Higgins was! Tall,
dark and handsome Stlngerland
and Mary Lynn Gilliland make an
adorable oouple. Jack Gentzler
likes brunettes, eh Gloria? We
wonder who Walter Dooley was
with. Margaret Stacy and Ida Hud-
son, they had to share his atten-
tion, besides those on the side line.
Chapman and his camera were
strictly "off the beam” could it be
a broken heart? You Just should
have seen Prof. Jones and Dibrell
Jumping the rope. They’re experts.
Dodo Brown’s not so bad. What
happened to Patty and George B.
Kitche did they disagree?
Everyone really enjoyed the mu-
sic, and the singing—even the Army
Air Corps song.
So we hear a cow trough makes
excellent picnic grounds. Bartlett
Heatherly bowl guests excellently
even with pie melons! We wonder
why Smythe was so tired, couldn't
be the day, after the night before—
oh no!
Some notable couples we think
you should hear about:
Cookie and Annldon. j
Mary Glenn and Sllngerland
Geraldine and Huggins.
Belva and Dell ass.
Hannah and Heathely.
Chapman and his camera
Ruth and Cousins.
Pae and Bill.
Thelma and Garvin.
Evelyn and Kutche.
Harriet and Bartlett.
Gennilea and a medical officer.
8everal others whose names we
haven't yet acquired.
Among the camera friends was
Stlngerland photographing the bull!
We missed Goad and his pipe.
So we hear he likes shows more
than he does Ranch Parties. Grade
makes a grand Tarzan, eh fellows!
Several girls from Taipa helped
keep things rolling. Thanks Taipa!
We’ve always heard that Gentle-
men prefer blondes even as far
as turkeys are concerned Were
sorry all the college girls didn’t get
to make the party, so are the ca-
dets.
Dodo Adams was more curious
than dumb, anyhow he wanted to
know what those four legged ani-
mals with white faces were. It
couldn’t have been a Texas .Long-
horn) cow.
“Grab your partner for Paul
Jones” and do you know what a
dumb Dodo said "No thanks, I can
drink alone ”
So long everybody, Just for a
week, by the way If you know any

,t:, The thrilling story about Britain’s;
' flying fighters, “A Yank in the1
R. A. F.,” will be shown at the)
Howell Theatre on Sunday, Monday
and Tuesday. It is really an out-
standing film with action domin-
ating the well paced story.
Tyrone Power is magnificent as
the Yank; Betty Grable Is grand’
as his American dancer sweetheart j
—it is Hollywood at its best, a
great pifcture!
Excitement and thrills come thick
and fast. Yet, there is the Dun-
kirk evacuation performed realls-
Tcally to provide the year’s top
battle scene; the dog fights which
were actually filmed by the R. A.
F. In action; a tense flight in a
British bomber over Germany; dive
bombers attacking fleeing boats.
The story follows Tyrone as the
bored Yankee anxious to go into
action but hampered by instruc-
tions and routine duties. As a re-
sult he does not get along very
well with his fellow pilots and an
Englishman almost steals Betty
right out of his arms. Although
this is more of a dramatic role for
Miss Grable, she is featured in two
musical numbers.
