before we can tell. That
wasn't my idea of what

to be!

Adjustable and removable shelves are avail-
able in most wall and some base cabinets and are
highly desirable for many reasons. They permit
maximum useage of storage space and permit
easier storage of taller items and appliances.
Open shelves made of heavy stainless steel or
plastic-covered wire are also often specified
because they do not collect dirt the way solid
shelves do. Other special features in kitchen
planning may include sliding and lift-top doors
for cramped areas such as galley-style kitchens.
Doors in which louvers, grilles or decorative
panels may be inserted can be included as well.

Zinc Deficit
Just a moderate lack of
zinc in the diet of a pregnant
mouse makes her offspring
less able to resist disease—as
much as three generations
later.
University of California,
Davis scientists noted that
zinc deficiency previously
had been associated with im-
paired immune response in
humans as well as in labora-
tory animals. However, this
is the first time that a direct
link has been shown between
a lack of zinc in pregnancy
and resulting damage to off-
spring through the third gen-
eration.
