get better acquainted with the hos-
pital facilities offered.

High School elected cheer leaders
yesterday afternoon.
They are: Herbert Straughan,
head cheer leader; Walter Gordon,
Terry Conner, (Bobby Hale, Wanda
Watson and Joan Needham.

MRS. RICH’S KINDERGARTEN
CLASS TAKES TRAIN RIDE
Mrs. Fannie Rich took 25 of her
kindergarten class to 'Valera today
on the train. They boarded the 9:45
train and after a visit through the
town, they were brought back to
Coleman by Supt. Terrell Graves
in the big school bus. This train
ride Is ah annual event for the
youngsters, which they look for-
ward to with much pleasure.

Brownie Day Camp
To Open June 15
A day camp ror Brownie Scouts
was planned, at a meeting held
Tuesday in the home of Mrs. R. D.
Boyers, president of the Coleman
Girl Scout Association. Miss Bob-
ble Wash, Heart of Texas area
director was present. Others pres-
ent were Brownie leaders and troop
committee mothers.
The camp will open on June 15th
at_ the City Park and run four
dUgs, hours being from 4:00 to 8:00
p.m. Mrs. W. H. Powell, enthusiastic
Brownie Scout worker, will be the
/amp director. Other leaders who
will assist are Mrs. Lamar Evans,
Mrs. Roy Trigg, Mrs. H. E. Rankin,
Mrs. Wade Jackson, Mrs. Ernie
Wilson and others.

Buried Thursday
> Funeral services were held last
Thursday afternoon at the Church
of Christ in Bangs, for Mrs. Edora
Barnett. 87. who died at the home
of her daughter. Mrs Ed Reynolds
at Bangs Wednesday, April 27. Rev
Baize conducted the .service and
burial was In the Bangs Cemetery
Wright’s Funeral Home was In
charge, of arrangements.
Mrs Barnett was born May 6,
1860 and came to Ooleman County
In 1905 She was a member of the
Whon Church of Christ.

The Burkett 4-H clubs achieve-
ment day was held May 3, at the
home economics cottage.
The bedroom garments were mod-
eled by the 4-H members.
