Drennan & Peterson
Jack County's East Bryson
Field gained a new producer
when Drennan & Peterson
completed the No. 3 Hamil-
ton-Kuykendall 4.5 miles
southeast of Bryson.
The well showed potential
to pump 68 barrels of oil per
day, plus 78,000 CF casing-
head gas. It was taken to a
3,115-ft. bottom, and will
produce from perforations in
the Bryson Sand Formation,
2,959 to 2,989 feet into the
wellbore.
The operation is located in a
66-acre lease in the BS&F
Survey.
Caribou Operating
Caribou Operating of
Granbury has revealed plans
to drill a 6,000-ft. wildcat well
in Jack County. The operator
has 80 acres leased, with
drillsite in the C.A. Grace
Survey. The venture has been
designated as the No. 1
Tilgman. Drillsite is three
miles northwest of Truce.
Shoshone Oil
The No. 1 Deck Mountain, a
6,000-ft. wildcat well, is
scheduled to be drilled in Jack
County. The well will be
spudded in a 40-acre lease four
miles northeast of Finis in the
J. Deck Survey. Shoshone Oil
of Dallas is the operator.
Grand Energy
Grand Energy has given up
on its efforts to make a
producer out of the No. 1
Grand Deaton, a wildcat well
in Jack County. The
operation was located three
miles southwest of Truce in an
80-acre lease in the W.C.
Ligon Survey.
The operation was spudded
Nov. 20, and bottomed with
no commercial potential at
5,840 feet.
Marcon Operating
At a location 3.5 miles north
of Jacksboro, Marcon
Operating has finaled a new
oil producer in Jack County's
Southwest Lucky Ridge Field.
The well is designated as
the No. 5 W.W. Rumage,
pumping 20 barrels of oil per
day.
Location is in a 357-acre
lease in the J.F. Hassman
Survey. Bottomed at 2,148
feet, the well will produce
from perforations in the Weir
Sand Formation, 2,145 to
2,148 feet into the wellbore.
L&M Oil
L&M Oil has hung the "dry
hole" tag on the No. 3
McClure, a developmental
well in the Allyates Field,
Jack County. Drillsite was 2.5
miles east of Jacksboro in a
336-acre lease in the Patrick
Osborne Survey. Spudded
Nov. 15, the well bottomed
with no commercial shows at
5,550 feet.
Sunset Energy of Texas
A Dallas-based operator
has staked location for the
No. 1 Kindi, a wildcat well to
be located 3.3 miles southeast
of Post Oak. With projected
total depth of 6,000 feet, the
well will be drilled in a 76-acre

Drillsites are 2.3 miles
southeast and two miles east-
southeast of Post Oak,
respectively.
The Faulkner well is located
in a 40-acre lease in the A.T.
McGee Survey, and carries
permit for 6,000-ft. maximum
depth. It was spudded Dec. 22.
The Kirchmeyer well is in a
40-acre lease in the BBB&C
Survey, and also is under
authority for 6,000-ft. total
depth. Drilling operations
commenced Dec. 27.
Upham Oil & Gas
Upham Oil & Gas has filed
first production figures on a
gas well in the Boonsville
Field, Wise County. The No. 4
Earl Kelley showed potential
to flow 880,000 CF gas per day
on an undisclosed choke. The
absolute open flow rating was
1,300,000 CFD.
The operator has 352 acres
leased, with drillsite in the R.
Coleman Survey, one mile
southeast of Bridgeport.
The well will produce from
perforations in the Bend
Conglomerate Formation,
5,280 to 6,046 feet into the
wellbore. Total drilling depth
was 6,100 feet, and the well
was plugged back to 6,095
feet.
EP Operating
EP Operating of Dallas has
revealed plans to drill two
new developmental wells in
the Boonsville Field. The
operator has designated the
ventures as the No. 2 Tarrant
County Water Board Unit "3"
and the No. 3 Tarrant County
Water Board Unit "2".
Drillsites are 7.5 miles
southwest of Chico and 7.5
miles west of Bridgeport,
respectively.
The No. 2 well will be drilled
in a 350-acre lease in the I.M.
Whitten Survey, while the No.
3 well will be in a 352-acre
lease in the L. Howard
Survey. Total projected
drilling depths are 5,900 and
6,050 feet, respectively.
Vann Energy Inc.
A Fort Worth-based
operator has staked location
for the No. 9 O.L. Jones Unit
"3", a developmental well to
be located five miles south of
Millsap. With projected total
depth of 4,500 feet, the well
will be drilled in a 350-acre
lease in Parker County's Lazy
Bend Field, N.W. Henderson
Survey.
The operator is Vann
Energy Inc.
Rubicon Exploration Co.
Rubicon Exploration Co. of
Mineral Wells has filed for
permit to drill the No. 5 James
W. Floyd, a 1,999-ft. wildcat
well nine miles south-
southeast of Weatherford.
Location is in a 25-acre lease
in Parker County's D.
Blackwell Survey.
Graham Source
Graham Source has filed for
permit to drill the No. 1
Brazeel, a 4,700-ft. wildcat
well five miles east of
Graham. Location is in a 356-
acre lease in Young County's
SPRR Survey.

Chieftan Exploration of
Graham has revealed plans to
drill a 700-ft. developmental
well in the Young Regular
Field. The operator has 127

No. 1 Veal Whiteley. Location
is one-quarter mile southwest
of Belnap.
Bob Craig
Bob Craig has given up on
his efforts to make a producer
out of the No. 1 Benson Unit
"2", a developmental try in
the Young Regular Field. The
well was located five miles
north-northwest of Jean in a
40-acre lease in the TE&L
Survey.
The well was spudded Nov.
15, and bottomed dry at 5,194
feet.
Tag Production Inc.
Drillsite has been staked for
the No. 1 Derr (Raging
well in Palo Pinto County.
The operation will be located
2.5 miles south-southeast of
Mingus in a 42-acre lease in
the AS&MG Survey. The
operator is Tag Production
Inc. of Mineral Wells.
Chester R. Upham, Jr.
Chester R. Upham, Jr. of
Mineral Wells has revealed
plans to drill two 4,400-ft.
wildcat wells in Palo Pinto
County. The operator has a
1,442-acre lease in the T&P
Survey. The wells will be
known as the Nos. 3 and 4
Paul Stephen, and will be
located five miles north of
Strawn.
A.V.G. Exploration Inc.
A 4,950-ft. wildcat well is
planned by A.V.G. Explor-
ation Inc. of Irving at a
drillsite three miles southwest
of Graford, Palo Pinto
County. The location is in an
80-acre lease in the TE&L
Survey.

No. A1 J.M. Ragle.

Inc. of Strawn is planning to
drill two wildcat wells in Palo
Pinto County. They will be
known as the No. 2 Houston
Ranch and the No. 3A Riebe,

south of Palo Pinto and four
miles south of Metcalf Gap,
respectively. Projected total
depth of the Houston Ranch
well s 4,400 feet, and the Riebe
well is under authority for
4,200-ft. total depth. The
operator has 320 and 290
acres leased in the T&P
survey.

Miss Alta Bloodworth,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M.
Bloodworth, and Mr. Alfred
Briscoe of Avis community,
were united in marriage Jan.
12th, at the home of the
bride's parents at Union
Point.
Mrs. Briscoe is a graduate
of the local high school, and of
the North Texas A&M
College, Arlington.
Mr. Briscoe has been in
Conroe for the past few years
until recently when he bought
the Sinclair Service Station
here on North Main Street.
They are at home at the
Bloodworth place on College
Hill.
Miss Ina Henderson, who is
now employed in the clerical
department of Woody-Kutch
Commission Company of
F’ort Worth, spent the
weekend here with home
folks, returning Monday
morning.

welding shop has been put up.
We had a light rain last
Friday night, but not enough
to enable farmers to plow.
However, there was enough to
show that the roof on the new
court house is not rainproof.
