THE ELECTRIC RANGE
£
I Have the Jack County agen-
cy for the McNess Quality
Products and will be calling
on you.
The electric range is the nicest thing that ever
happened to your budget! Quick, efficient...
it takes less time to prepare foods. No waste-
food, either. Every dish ... from soup to des-
sert ... will turn out perfectly! In fact, you can
prepare an entire meal in the spacious oven at
the same time. Takes the "guesswork” out of
cooking ... eliminates costly failure! Just put
the meal in the oven, set the controls of the auto-
matic range, and electricity will do the rest...
while you go about your other household tasks,
go shopping or to your favorite movie. When
you return your meal will be cooked and ready
to serve. N
Cool, clean, dependable ... this versatile "chef”
costs but one penny per person per meal to
operate. That’s real economy!

and makes his own repair un-
der the supervision of his in-
structor. Suitable tools and
equipment are available in or-
der that the Veteran may con-

required in making repairs.
Theory—The Veteran spends
four hours per week in the
class room where he receives
technical instruction on the
various phases of farming and
stock raising.
Demonstration—the Veter-
an speds 6y2 hours per week
with the instructor in the field
on such demonstrations as ter-
racing, proper fertilization,
and other soil conservation
service projects. In addition,
the instructor spends 2 hours
per week either on individual
visits or group meetings for
individual instruction.
The Cabinet Making Train-
ing is divided into two classes,
a morning and an afternoon
class, composed of 46 Veterans
of Jack County, each one of
whom is furnished $7.00 per
month for materials and may
furnish other materials if he
so desires and must complete
under supervision, the cabinet
work assigned. It is very in-
teresting to see the superior
quality of cabinet work these
Veterans are accomplishing
and you would enjoy a visit in
their shop.
The Distributive Education
Training class consists of 18
Veterans and is supervised
and taught by E. B. Whitaker
who is also the coordinator of
,all Veterans Vocational Schools
in the county. This training has
available a course in general
business, business administra-
tion, business management
and salesmanship. Here the
Veteran may renew his ac-

as English, mathematics and
bookkeeping.

county. The Veterans are re-
ceiving al,l together $10,000.00
monthly subsistanee pay or
$120,000.'00 per year. This is
of much value to the Veterans,
and to the business men as the
final resting place for
the monitary allowance is your
cash drawer. The Veterans
must make purchases.
Already some 25 applica-
tions have been made to Mr.
Whitaker showing a desire of
the Veterans for a welding
training school. This would be
quite a nice class and the co-
ordinator states he is ready to
start the training as soon as a
suitable building can be ar-
ranged. Several attempts
have been made to locate a
building with suitable floor
space and of proper material,
though no deal has been clos-
ed. If and when this class is
put to work it will mean an
additional subsistanee pay of
$100.00 per month to each,
which would add some $40,000
yearly to the total subsistanee.
The schools receive in the
way of tution $2,300.00 per
month. This amount, since
the schools are non-profiting
institutes, must go back into
the schools in the form of
equiment and to defray other

ans • Vocational Training
schools have accumulated
some $4,000.00 worth of fine
tools and equipment.
In addition to the five qual-
ified instructors, the schools
have an assistant of one half-
time secretary. Perhaps you
might be able to employ any
one of these men as part-time
worker in your organization
or to assist in advertising what
you have to sell.
The coordinator, instructors
and Veterans of the Agricult-
ure Training classes are very
happy that the two schools,
Perrin and Jacksboro, have
contributed to the program in
that the Vocational Agricult-
ure departments have willing-
ly renered the use of their
class rooms and shops for in-
struction and place of repair,
