National Rifle Association
ENDORSES
President Reagan
and
Phil Gramm
The National Rifle Association has given its endorsement to President Reagan lor re-election. This is
based on his support for gun owners and sportsmen, and his views on gun control. He believes the
criminalshould be punished for the crime committed with a gun. He ia against the harrassment of law
abiding gun owners and sportsmen who own guna for hunting and home defense. President Reagan is a
life member of the N.R.A. and has alway* supported the ita goal* and objective*. The N.R.A. which
now has over three million members believe* in the traditional American right to “keep and bear
arms”, and that every law abiding citizen is entitled to the ownership and legal use of firearms.
Phil Gramm, who is running for the Senate, has also been endorsed by the National Rifle Association
and the Texas State Rifle Association.
Mr. Mondale and M*. Ferraro have shown no concern for the American sportsman and gun owner
and have called for and supported bills calling for the banning of handguns. They are both praiaed by
two anti-gun organizations, "The Coalition to Ban Handguns", and "Handgun Control, Inc,". The goal of
both of these organization* is to completely disarm the American citizen, yea this means rifle* snd
shotguns tool
Lloyd Doggett. who is also running for the Senate, has refuted to give his views on the subject of gun
control. When the National Rifle Association tent him ■ questionnaire on the subject, he refused to fill
it out or send it ip. . . /
We. as member* of the National Rifle Association, and as Wlow Americans, know what our
forefather* meant when they wrote the second amendment to the Constitution. “The Right of the
People to Keep and Bear Arm* shall not be infringed".
