United Methodist Church
in Abilene, Saturday,
September 3, at 3 p.m. The
ceremony was' read by
Rev. Richard Bales.
The bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse
R. Haynes of Fairfield,
formerly of Coleman. Mr.
and Mrs. J. R. Haynes of
Santa Anna, are grandpar-
ents of the bride. Mr. and
Mrs. Donald L. Wadsworth
of Abilene are parents of
the bridegroom.
Altar decorations in-
cluded two brass candela-
bra, and a silk flower
arrangement of pink car-
nations and roses.
James Shelton, pianist,
played traditional wed-
ding music.
Sheila Qualls, cousin of
the bride, registered
guests.
The bride, given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a
formal gown of Chantilly
lace with a Queen Anne
neckline. The bodice and
fitted sleeves were accent-
ed with pearls. The full
skirt had tiers of lace
which fell into a chapel-
length train. To complete
her bridal ensemble, Lorri
chose a two-tiered roll-
edged, fingertip veil
attached to a tiara head-
piece ehanced with pearls
matching those on her
gown. She carried a cas
cade of sweetheart roses
and button mums with
white ribbons draped in
front. She also wore her
maternal grand-
mother's pearl necklace
and carried her paternal
great grandmother's
handkerchief.
Mrs. Mike Shelby of
Fairfield, sister of the
bride, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were
Leslie Haynes, sister of the
bride, Amy Wadsworth
and Judy Wadsworth, sis-
ters of the groom. They
wore gowns of pink chif-
fon and lace over taffeta.
Each carried a nosegay of
pink daisies and white
button mums.
The groom was attired
in a white tuxedo. His
attendants wore burgundy
color tuxedos.
Robert McCoy of Abi-
lene was best man.
Groomsmen were Tom
Curren of Austin, Kelly
McCoy and Greg Dusekas
of Abilene.
The bride's mother
chose a pink formal dress
of lace which matched the
lace of the bridesmaids'
dresses. The groom's
mother chose a light green
formal dress and jacket of
chiffon. Corsages for the
mothers of the bridal
couple were gardenias.
The grandmother's cor
sages were daisies and
mums.
Following the wedding,
a reception, hosted by the
bride's parents, was held in
the fellowship hall of the
church. Houseparty mem
hers included Miss Darlene
Donham, Mrs. Danny
Weaver, Mrs. Mitch Le
men, and Mrs. Karla
Breeding, all of Abilene.
The bride's table was
covered with a white cloth
and decorated with a crys-
tal punch bowl and the
bridesmaids' bouquets.
The cake was an all white
three-tiered confection top-
ped with a satin bell.
The groom’s table,
covered with a white cloth,
held a silver service be-
longing to his mother. The
groom’s cake was a choco-
late cake decorated with
beige roses, with his ini-
tials on top. The table also
had an arrangement of
pink daisies and carna-
tions.
A rehearsal dinner was
given by the groom’s par-
ents on Friday at Briar-
stone Manor.
For going away the
bride chose a pink dress
complimented by white ac-
cessories. Her corsage was
a white gardenia.
After a trip to Fort
Worth, the couple are re-
siding in Abilene. The
bride is a graduate of
Coleman High School and
received a B.B.A. degree in
accounting from McMurry
College in August. She is
employed by Abilene Data
Systems, Inc. The bride-
groom graduated from
Cooper High School, at-
tended Angelo State Uni-
versity and received a
B.B.A. degree in market-
ing from McMurry College
in August. He is employed
by Abilene Automotive
Jobbers Warehouse, Inc.

Reunion
Members of the Santa
Anna High School Class of
1973 will meet for their
10th reunion on Saturday,
October 15, during the
Santa Anna Ex-Student
Homecoming,
Class members and their
spouses will meet from 4 to
6 p.m. for a get together,
with the place to be an
nounced later.
All members of the class
are urged to make plans to
attend the reunion and to
help notify others of the
group about the meeting.
The Santa Anna Ex-
student Homecoming will
open with a parade and
pep rally on Friday, Octo-
ber 14, and will include
activities through the fol-
lowing day.
You can thank your
lucky stars if you grew up
in a family where some-
body cared enough to say
no.
