Fight
Against
Cancer
“We have learned teat tee
fight against cancer must
Involve everyone: physicians,
parents, teachers, students
and YOU. We all hav; a job
to do. If we do it well enough,
long enough, we will reach
our ultimate goal,” so said
Travis County Unit
Education Chairman
Delco, Ph.D„ and Mrs.__
L. Davis, the Unit Public In-
formation Chairman, fallow-
ing a recent Conference on
Cancer for the Austin Inde-
pendent School District
Groups represented were the
student council, school news-
papers, service clubs and
health instructors.
Texas is short on its educa-
tional goal. Tbe Texas Divi-
sion fell short of it’s public
education audience by 446
people, according to a letter
published by the National Vice
President for Public Educa-
tion. He stated Texas actually
ranks third in the Nation. New
York State and Hawaii
the only divisions to
their established goals,
unteers must help educate the
public to go for checkups
while there is still time.
Every county unit must work a
little harder in 1974 to bring
cancer education to the public.
