NATIONAL SLOGAN SUG-
GESTED BY PROMINENT
MEMPHIS DRUGGIST
Would Remind the Public to Prevent
Sickness by Removing the Cause
T. D. BALLARD
a prominent druggist of Memphis says:
“Much sickness could and would be
prevented if the public would only re-
member that constipation is one of the
first causes. As a reminder. I would
suggest the slogan,
“ ‘Rexall Orderlies, the laxative tab-
let with the pleasant taste.’
“I suggest Rexall Orderlies as I know
their formula and believe they are the
best remedy for relieving constipation.
They can be used by men, women or
children.'’

Peanuts in Eastland County
Mr. A. E. Hampton of De Leon
Texas in a communication to the
Dallas News tells a wonderful story
j of what peanuts have done for that
' section. Several years ago the
weevil struck that county and caus-
ed distress progressive citizens
\ pushed peanuts pigs, poultry, sorg-
I hum syrup, etc. Now that section
is shipping hogs, cattle, syrup
etc., besides marketing more pea-
nuts than cotton during the balmy
days besides the hogs and syrup,
poultry, cattle and some cotton.
Formery this section bought
meat at the rate of one hundred
thousand dollars worth a year, now
they shipped over 150 car loads of
hogs this season. They do not now
buy sorghum molases , beans, meat
and such things—they sell them.
The section of country around !
De Leon is more nearly like the post
oak section of Jack county than any
other section we know of. The
people there, although they have
the weevil are more prosperous
now than ever before.
Jack county is on the same road.
A good big acreage of peanuts
will be planted this year, many a-
cres of hog pasture will be put in.
Since last weeks issue six more
applications for peanut culture has
come in representing about 180
acres, while we hear of many more!
who are thinking of planting from
five to 30 acres of peanuts. It is
a great pity we are not able to have
a demonstration agent with full
time and anu atomobile this year
so this situation could be fully
taken care of, or that every farmer
could get the News every week.
But even as it is we are on the
road to new and better times.
Prosperity is coming. The people
will make more money our lands
will become more productive and
more pastures will be put into
farms, and the farms already in
will be improved for greater
income.
Severe Cold Quickly Cured
“On December first I had a very
severe cold or attack of the grip
as it may be, and was nearly down
sick in bed,” writes O. J. Met-
calf, Weatherby, Mo., “I bought
two bottlles of Chamberlain’s
Cugh Remedy and it ws only a few
days until I was completely restor-
ed to health. I firmly believe that
Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy is
one of the very best medicines and
will know’ what to do when I have
another cold.” For sale by J. H.
Walters, prescription druggit.

A Splendid Orchard Oportunity
On the last page of the News this
week is a full page advertisement
of the Benton County Nursery,
which gives prices of nursery stock
at prices unprecedented. The farm-
ers of Jack county while not in
hard circumstances on account of
There should be a quarter of an
acre of dew or blackberries on
every farm in the county. Every
one should have a few grapes,
peaches, pears and plums. As we
are quitting cotton to some extent
to attend to an
orchard and it will be a success
Get them out now so they will be
growing. This is a great opportun-
ity and we believe many will take
advantage of it.
Sure Signs of a Torpid Siver
If you have spells of dizziness,
headaches, biliousness or constipa-
tion, look to your liver for the
cause. You can get relief by tak-
ing P-Do-Lax. It acts quickly on
the liver, hels it to discharge the
poison and tone up the system.
