Rain is Almost
Plaguing the Area
Rain almost became a plague
in North Texas this past week
as another 1.60 inches of mois-
ture fell on an already soaked
area.
Most of the rain came Satur-
day night in showers mea-
suring 1.42 inches. Another
.18 was measured Monday.
Clouds and cold winds, plus
rain, kept most local resi-
dents from having the feeling
that spring actually arrived
last Thursday. A gusty front
arrived early Thursday and
that day was much less spring
like than the preceding day.
But the mercury got up to 73
Friday for the high mark of the
week.
Some frost came Tuesday and
Wednesday when lows of 33
degrees were recorded. High
Wednesday was 64 degrees, a
warmup from several pre-
ceding days.
